    Pokemon MMORPG

    What Is This?
    I've searched long and hard for a good Pokemon MMORPG. I have found none. So I have decided to start my own. This game will have a different concept than Pokemon. It will eventually be 3D. Many new features will be implemented, and many old characters will be reinstated into a sinister plot you won't ever forget! If your interested in joining or supporting the team, then please sign up in the forums! (The links in my signature)

    So Where Is This Going?
    Next year I am off to college, so I've decided to take classes in Game Programming, Computer Science, Game Design, etc. I already have tons of ideas for this (and other) games. I am a writer. Now, I know what your thinking; your thinking that I want a bunch of people to do this project for me. Wrong. In the next year or so I (and the team) will make the storyline, tons of side quests, music, and concept for the game. Then, when I get out of college, we can get down to the knitty gritty stuff. Which, by then, I hope to have aquired an office somewhere (Or a garage) where we can develop the game, which will also include staff members being paid for their services. I know I've gone ahead of myself here, but this is just thoughts for the future.

    The Beginning
    In the beginning we will have a free forums host (Until we get enough money to get a payed one).

    About The Game
    -Programmed in C++
    -Will be free to play

    Interested In Joining?
    Just click (here) (or in my signature). We accept any positions!

    i hate to say it, but this already sounds like a dead project.
    What program do you plan to use? RMXP, RM2K3? a proper game engine? your not going to get anyone on your team untill you decide the engine, if its a basic language, so be it, but what if the engine you use can be modified, what is the language base, C++, Python, ETC?

    making it a pay by month mmorpg isnt going to be a good idea, its not instantly going to become some super game with the capabillities to hold millions of people, sure, if your servers get flooded and you need to buy more servers, thats when you charge, and if its popular, im sure you could put ads on your website.

    onto the next part - free forums and website. instant thought - ugly. sure, its ok for a little project, but could you imagine using something like freewebs being the host for a mmorpg? people will instantly skip it. free forums is a better idea, but most forums are already free. and then you have to get a good domain name, and for the name of a pokemon mmo it probably might cost alot.

    my final words are these - if you want to build an mmorpg, and a good one at that, i urge you to reconsider your planning and add more detail. especially about the base engine that your going to design the game in. and present your work more neatly and tidily rather then just "free stuff". a nice website at most would cost you $250.

    i am not saying that your mmorpg is bad, im just saying you should add more details and reconsider some things.
