I really like the modern style, looks really nice and clean.

However, why is it that the latest poster's name is bigger than the threads name? It looks really odd and in my sleepy state I end up on someones profile more often than not.

Anyone else agree? Is there anyway this could be changed?

I honestly don't know as to what you are talking about. The situation you described does not occur for me. Further more, the latest poster is in its entire own section, with a distinct division between the thread title and last poster. Take a screen shot? Maybe you have some settings altered on your browser.

EDIT: Oh, I see it now. You meant on the home page, and I assumed that you had meant within a specific board. Yeah, tbh, it seems kind of funky to me, because it seems more important to know which thread was posted in, rather than who posted in it. The last poster seems excessively big... I mean I suppose I can understand the last poster being bigger if that is the whole "modern" style (which it seems to be with its whole cute set-up saying _________ posted in ________), but it should at least be in scale to the other styles.

A line could be added to both elements when you scroll over them. There is some middle ground that can get confusing, and if a line appeared under the word, you'd know whether you are clicking the profile or the thread.

Yeah, I will agree with the OP that it is a bit funky in how that style has the users in a much larger font size than the topic itself, and even with me being fully awake, I was tempted to click on the user's profile instead of the actual topic.

Aesthetics. I think it looks better that way, so that's why I put it like that. Something needs to be that size so the table on the right doesn't look out of place (and making the text all regular size isn't something I'm going to do, because its extremely convenient for me to have the font size so big on the forum titles because its easier for me (and others, I assume) to tap when on my iPhone instead of missing like I do on other forum styles :(), and if the thread is what's bigger, then it looks really awkward, especially since I have a userhead next to the username.

    I don't really understand:

...and making the text all regular size isn't something I'm going to do, because its extremely convenient for me to have the font size so big on the forum titles because its easier for me (and others, I assume) to tap when on my iPhone...

I'm saying the complete opposite, it's harder to hit because of the difference. The thread titles are tiny.

Comparing the iPhone and internet versions of the skin I've noticed that actually on the iPhone the difference in size is a lot less - why is this? :S

You can see that the top one (normal browser) has a huge proportion difference, however using iPhone's safari it's much less.

If it could be changed to make the difference in size slightly less, that would at least be a step in the right direction I think.

As I said, you don't have to change the size. If the theme has it built into where links are underlined, then it would be no problem. That being said, it is up to the person who made on how they want it. There are plenty of other themes that don't work in this way.
