I tried to focus this deck a bit more on Tyranitar, and making him into an unstoppable force of ungodly strength and an immovable object as he sits on his throne in the middle of the field. :p

While the energies seem rather shallow (Only 23 in total) The trainer cards, Stadium, and even the energy cards themselves all focus to give Tyranitar a ridiculous amount of power and defense.

It is a modified Dark Rampage deck, which belongs in the Stormfront series.

The Pokemon also seem to be a bit much, but upon closer inspection, will show their usefulness.

I wanted Miltank and Farfetch'd to supplement my deck by adding beef to the front lines in the beginning, and to buy me all the time (And all the cards!) I need to get Tyranitar out on the field as quickly as possible, and to heal my Pokemon to keep my opponent from killing anything while I set up my nasty Grinds.

If for some reason I can't get a Tyranitar out on the field, I have Staraptor and Skuntank in the wings ready to throw out some crazy moves to further disrupt my opponent's strategy.

Anyway, pick at it and see if it could use any revisions. Thanks! (First time poster, be gentle!)

We have a sub-forum for this.

    Anyway, a few technical things:

-Master Ball is out of format

    -Sydney's is out of format

Now, onto the deck itself. Tyranitar should only be run with dark energy. You should never be using its pre-evolutions attacks unless he's stuck out there. That said, you need a starter. Most people use weavile for T-tar for (free) energy acceleration and free retreat. Basically, you put four sneasels in there, two weaviles, and set up, evolve turn two or three and start loading (special) dark energies on T-tar.

Weavile is basically the only way to play T-tar, because its just so fast. If you get 2 or even 4 dark special energy on T-tar you can do 120-140 with grind (@ 5 energy), or 50-70 to active and 30 to the entire bench.

The problem is that T-tar, while a formidable opponent, is hardly immovable, and can be taken down by some (most) stormfront monsters in two hits at reasonably low energy costs.

You can put in Dakrai lv.X if you wish, to do more damage, but its much more set-up.

Oh, take out all those normals, they hardly help. Or put in 3 more Farfetch'd.

And MORE SUPPORTERS! Buy a powerhouse + lavaflow starter sets. You get 2 roseannes, 2 bebes, among some other (marginally) useful cards.

    Good luck, have fun =)

Thanks for mentioning the sub-forum and the card formats, stinks that Sidney's is out of format, was going to be a cornerstone in the deck's strategy, but ah well, I'm sure I can find an even better Stadium card!

It's been a over a decade since I last picked up a Pokemon card. A friend and I got hit with a nostalgia nuke and we're buying cards left and right trying to build some fun decks.

I should probably write up another revision, but I ordered all the cards you listed online, so it probably won't be here for a while.

Anyway, thanks for the help. I had a Grind rolling for 180 last night. Was fun, can't wait to revise the deck to make it a monster.
