Hi! I'm brand new to romhacking, but I wanted to see if I can teach myself the basics and attempt to make a hack of Platinum where all the Pokemon in the regional dex can be obtained in a single copy. I'm using PPRE, and I'm starting small by just modifying the encounter tables to add in Pokemon previously removed from Diamond and Pearl, like Murkrow and Trapinch. Anyway, I was looking to add Clamperl back in on Route 219 via the Super Rod, but I'm having difficulty making sense of how the fishing encounters work. For every location, the old rod has no encounters set up, while the good rod appears to have the encounter table of the old rod, with only Magikarp, and I can't work out where the super rod encounter table is. I've read that fishing encounters are set up such that the old rod has 2 slots, the good rod has 3, and the super rod has 5... is it like that here, but just organized differently? How exactly would I go about modifying this? I have a screenshot of what I mean, if that's any help.

    Spoiler:

I didn't get what are you trying to say but
If you want to add all pokemon in Diamond & Pearl in your Hack, better expand the table of pokemon data, name, pokedex flag etc. for something big like this i recommend using BPRE 1.0 as there is many tutorial on something about this, but if you don't want, it's up to you.
