You're probably all wondering why I'm making a monotype team out of one of the most feeble typings right? Well, I like to prove that underdogs can sometimes be just as good as the overdogs. I have tried this team a few times and I seem to be doing well. Just a few kinks to iron out really.
    Here's the team.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Bug

    Forretress (M) @ Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
    Impish Nature
    - Spikes
    - Toxic
    - Rapid Spin
    - Explosion

Generic lead really. Set up spikes, rapid spin away any entry hazard set by another lead and explode when done.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Bug

    Galvantula (M) @ Focus Sash
    Ability: Unnerve
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature
    - Energy Ball
    - Hidden Power [Flying]
    - Sticky Web
    - Electroweb

I really need to sort Galvantula out. The hidden power doesn't work - and the item was a last minute impulse. I do get use out of him however, he's very good at making sure the opposing team is slower than my own. Other than that, I need an almost total re-haul.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Bug

    Yanmega (M) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Speed Boost
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature
    - Protect
    - Bug Buzz
    - Air Slash
    - Hidden Power [Rock]

Another I need to redo. Hidden Power again, doesn't work. And whilst the Life Orb is good for picking off stronger opponents, I find myself fainting Yanmega far too often.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Bug

    Butterfree (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Tinted Lens
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature
    - Sleep Powder
    - Quiver Dance
    - Bug Buzz
    - Hidden Power [Ground]

Strangely enough, Butterfree is one of the ones I am actually really happy about on this team. I can nearly always set up a Quiver Dance or two when Sticky Web is in play, and the ability Tinted Lens is absolutely great at helping pick off opponents. However, Butterfree is also very, very frail. (Hidden Power again, needs to go. Although it works on the fire types that try and sweep my team)

    [PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Bug

    Shuckle (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 Def / 252 SDef
    Impish Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Toxic
    - Encore
    - Rest

More of a utility Pokémon to create a little bit of a difficulty for the opponent. I want to change Stealth Rock, however, I feel like it does come in handy sometimes.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Bug
    /
    [PokeCommunity.com] Monotype Bug

    Scizor (F) @ Scizorite
    Ability: Technician
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
    Naughty Nature
    IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SAtk
    - X-Scissor
    - Bullet Punch
    - Aerial Ace
    - Vacuum Wave

Forretress is still a decent Rapid Spin user. This team really needs the Rapid Spin support given how vulnerable to entry hazards they are:
    -Spikes/Stealth Rock
    -Rapid Spin
    -Gyro Ball
    -Earthquake/Volt Switch
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
    Item: Leftovers

Electroweb isn't a viable move because it's weak; Sticky Web already takes care of the Speed-lowering duties, while Galvantula can beat the Fliers and Levitators with STAB Thunder. Speaking of Thunder, Compound Eyes is the preferred ability to use with Galvantula because it makes Thunder more accurate:
    -Sticky Web
    -Thunder
    -Bug Buzz
    -Hidden Power (Fire/Ice)/Energy Ball/Giga Drain
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash
    Ability: Compound Eyes

TBH, Butterfree is outclassed by a lot of things as a Quiver Dance user, like Venomoth, who can also Baton Pass the boosts. I feel that Volcarona is the better Quiver Dancer out there because it actually has the stats to abuse the boosts it gets:
    -Quiver Dance
    -Fire Blast/Fiery Dance
    -Bug Buzz
    -Hidden Power (Rock/Ground)/Giga Drain
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Lum Berry
    Ability: Flame Body

    or
    -Quiver Dance
    -Fiery Dance
    -Bug Buzz
    -Roost
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 240 HP/252 Def/16 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Flame Body

Shuckle is fodder for nearly every Pokemon out there in existence. A better offensive support Pokemon to use is Escavalier, which has Knock Off to remove opposing items, or Pursuit to trap and KO fleeing targets (especially Ghosts and Psychics):
    -Megahorn
    -Iron Head
    -Drill Run
    -Pursuit/Knock Off
    Nature: Adamant/Brave
    EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 SDef
    Item: Assault Vest

Vacuum Wave isn't a viable attack on Scizor because of how it runs off its terrible Special Attack. These Scizor sets should look like these (note that X-Scissor is a viable option over Bug Bite if you didn't use Poke Transfer to get a B2/W2 Scizor with Bug Bite to X/Y):
    -Swords Dance
    -Bullet Punch
    -Bug Bite/U-turn
    -Knock Off/Superpower
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Scizorite/Life Orb
    Ability: Technician

    or
    -Swords Dance
    -Bullet Punch
    -Bug Bite/U-turn
    -Roost
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 248 HP/152 Atk/108 SDef
    Item: Scizorite/Leftovers
    Ability: Technician

Cheers for the feedback. I actually have no idea why Vacuum Wave was on Scizor. But whatever. I'll probably take the Volcarona advice, because as you say it has the stats to abuse. I just prefer to be... a little unpredictable with my pokémon choices.

no Scolipede? :( damn this "at least 25 characters"

    My team now stands as

    Galvantula (M) @ Focus Sash
    Ability: Compoundeyes
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature
    - Energy Ball
    - Bug Buzz
    - Sticky Web
    - Thunder

    Yanmega (M) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Speed Boost
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature
    - Protect
    - Bug Buzz
    - Air Slash
    - Hidden Power [Rock]

    Scizor (F) @ Scizorite
    Ability: Technician
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
    Naughty Nature
    IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SAtk
    - X-Scissor
    - Bullet Punch
    - Aerial Ace
    - Swords Dance

    Volcarona (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Flame Body
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature
    - Fiery Dance
    - Quiver Dance
    - Bug Buzz
    - Roost

    Escavalier (M) @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Shell Armour
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
    Adamant Nature
    -Megahorn
    -Iron Head
    -Drill Run
    -Pursuit

    Butterfree (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Tinted Lens
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature
    - Sleep Powder
    - Quiver Dance
    - Bug Buzz
    - Psychic

This line up is going extremely well already, using Galvantula as a lead w/ Sticky Web and the sash to ensure it can always set that up. Butterfree is still there for the pure fact it's taking many people by surprise.

See the last 2 Scizor sets I posted. Aerial Ace doesn't let Scizor accomplish much besides hitting Breloom and Heracross, which are hit hard enough by Bullet Punch. Scizor appreciates the raw power and coverage of Superpower, the utility of Knock Off or the recovery in Roost. When maxing out Scizor's HP, use 248 HP because going for 252 makes it take more damage from Stealth Rock or Spikes.

I'm confused about your Escavalier set. Were you meaning to use the set I posted? Because I saw that it's using one of Volcarona's or Butterfree's sets, and Escavalier has moves that it can't even learn. It's also too slow for max Speed.

Volcarona is neutral to Ground, so it doesn't need Air Balloon. For offensive Quiver Dance, use Life Orb or Lum Berry; for the bulky Quiver Dance set, use Leftovers.

As I mentioned before, I don't like having Butterfree on the team because it's outclassed by a lot of things. Venomoth does what it can do better, because it has better Speed:
    -Quiver Dance
    -Bug Buzz
    -Sludge Bomb/Psychic
    -Roost/Sleep Powder
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Black Sludge
    Ability: Tinted Lens

Whoops, I copy and pasted Butterfree's set accidentally.

    I'll give Venomoth a go.

I really like Vivillon if you're looking for a butterfly/moth to use lol. I mean we can't talk Bugs without talking about my favorite.

    Vivillon @ Life Orb/Focus Sash
    Modest/Timid (I prefer Timid)
    Compound Eyes
    6 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
    -Hurricane
    -Sleep Powder
    -Quiver Dance
    -Bug Buzz/Hidden Powder

Compound Eyes brings up the accuracy of Hurricane and Sleep Powder. Makes both moves reliable. Hurricane is 110 BP STAB move with good accuracy from CE. If you manage to Dance Vivillon does work. On the downside it is really frail. The last move is pointless really, go with what you want but I've never used the fourth move. I will note that Roost is next to pointless due to Vivillon being so frail.

On Volcarona, Fire Blast is stronger than Fiery Dance, though less accurate. I run Fire Blast and Quiver Dance. While not necessary and it does miss sometimes, the extra power lets you cripple and sometimes knockout resistant Pokemon. Just saying.

Though Platinum's set is so good for coverage.

The reason why Volcarona sometimes uses Fiery Dance is because of the 50/50 chance of boosting Volcarona's Special Attack further.
