Sorry would've replied to this yesterday, but didn't get much time. But yup, Hyper Beam does need to be gone on all the Pokemon that have it.

Generally, a team of mostly starters isn't so great. :( Infernape can be amazing (the set I mentioned in your other thread would apply here) while Pignite really isn't. While it's his choice, I personally don't think having a team of all starters is the best way to win, but either way, I'll comment on how to improve them (all except Pignite which doesn't really have a purpose).

For Servine, since it has a Modest nature, Leaf Blade generally isn't needed, nor is having three other grass attacks. Something like Calm Mind could really benefit it, if you're planning to keep Leaf Storm as the primary STAB. Going for Toxic while you CM could also work since it'll wear down the opponents HP and generally help him last longer (as long as it's not a physical attacker). As for the last slot, giga drain maybe to recover HP?

Since he's going for a primarily physical Dewott, how about Swords Dance? Also, Aqua Jet > Aqua Tail since Aqua Jet has priority, whereas the latter doesn't. Hydro Pump you can technically keep since your attack stats aren't being lowered. Retaliate he doesn't really need, but he could try revenge, considering Dewott doesn't have the best speed and it's lowered anyway by the nature, so Revenge could effectively get 120 power, assuming the target doesn't hit too hard and make the Pokemon faint.

Based on what Archeops has, it could go for the acrobats Archeops set, which involves a flying gem, as well as stone edge, earthquake and u-turn. Stone Edge for the second STAB, EQ is used for coverage against others, and U-turn for damage and for scouting purposes.

Luckily for Emolga, it can run a mixed set, I'd keep acrobatics w/ flight gem as the primary STAB and volt switch for scouting. Since its attack is naturally boosted, you could keep charge beaming to raise your special attack slowly, but if anything, go with thunderbolt or thunder for an overall powerful spa attack alongside volt switch. As for the last slot, effectively he could try u-turn for the same purpose as volt switch, but only for annoying ground types who would otherwise hurt him with things like stone edge.

Either way that's about all, good luck for his team!

Okay then, thank you very much for your help on both threads ^^

I'm going trick or treating with him because we're also close friends, I'll write it out on some paper and hand it to him.

I didn't like his starters either, because he has them all level 100 and they're hacked. So basically, they're weaker than they are if they're fully evolved. I'd prefer it if he got rid of Infernape, rather personally because I've got one and we love to battle each other. He still has an even longer way to go than me, and you can't blame him because he's just a kid (Well, I'm a kid too. I'm just many years older than him.) and this is kind of a lot for him to understand, (God, I don't even got it totally, so this is rich coming from me!)

Yet again, thank you for your help. He's beaten me twice so far. Both times I turned off before he could get the victory message -.-. The first time I threw my DS across the room...Mainly because my stupid Sceptile wouldn't get a shot in . xD The second time I told him he'd won, then switched off. I only lost because he had a overpowered team of hacked legendaries. Very off topic, but Pokémon related at least.

For your Servine, take Leaf Blade off, equip Calm Mind (TM after National Dex), Light Screen/Reflect is good for defensiveness.

Now, as Nica (Forever) said, Dewott has a slightly reduced Speed but increased Attack so look into Physical-based attacks, Aqua Jet for priority, Revenge for Fighting-type damage, definitely keep Razor Shell cos that has a chance of lowering the target's Defense and also X-Scissor for Bug-type damage that can stop annoying Grass-types plus it's good against Dark and Psychic-types too. Once it evolves into Samurott, you can visit the move relearner in Mistralton City and you can get it to learn Megahorn. You'll need a Heart Scale though.
