More Cracky Suggestions from the 1 & only CC~

1) A Sticky Rule Perhaps -- I was going to PM PIKA2 about too many sticky threads in Hacks then I thought Why dont we have a rule for the max no. of Stickied threads in each forum. I mean 4 or 5 Max ok!But 7 ~ Too much
So why dont we have a rule. If a forum really needs one more, we can merge 2 threads and sticky them together. It gets annnoying you know.

2) In MOTM Votings we are voting right, so why should the thread be in OC. This has to be in Other Voting Polls right.This has long perplexed me.

3) Ideas for Changing Forums
(i) I heard that Alex's plea for a new Forum Hacking School was rejected. I feel its a great idea. If not a new Forum, why not edit the tutorials Forum to Tutorials & Rom Hacking School. It would surely benefit the newbies.
(ii) A new Forum called Interactive... as a sub-forum to OC. This forum could have all the stuff like Pair ups, Nicknames, Pictures & birthday threads could go. Get what I'm speaking. I feel this is a really good idea of mine.

4) And do you guys really need the Sub-Forum "Other Clubs" -- Isnt that what the MCG is there. You only need one for Fan Clubs.

5) THE PC AWARD SHOW --- What do you say..One long year has just passed by .. PC should organize an awards night. This can go a long way. It may be tough to organize this but once we do It'll rock There can be 2 Catergories --- i) Inside PC member Awards
ii) General Awards.

6) In the Profiles Questions why not add one more called Favourite Forums in PC -- This will surely help other members to check their interests

We wouldn't need so many if people would take notice and actually used the original ones. We will use as many as we need, and we may add more if people continue to ignore the current ones.

1 - It's been over 2 years, not over 1. My 2 year on Pc anniversary was yesterday.
2 - We don't need a glorified MotM, which is basically what this idea is.

Um, the Pokemon Fan Fiction has had 7 stickies; a lot. ^^ Hacks isn't alone.

1. If people read the rules and read the stickies like they're supposed to, maybe we wouldn't need to have so many of them in the general public's face but... it's not happening. People would rather just go along and post, getting in trouble, instead of taking a few seconds to read a few threads. o_o;; If you guys can come up with another way to get people to read these things, do share. I do agree that some forums should probably cut down on the stickies, though. x_X; 7 is a lot.

2. *shrugs* MOTM has always been in Other Chat. o_o; It's sort of tradition, I suppose.

3. i) I like that idea, actually. o_O I don't quite see why that wouldn't work (although, I think I've been in the ROM hacking forums once, if that). ^_^;; Makes sense to me.
ii) Mmm... why can't those just be in Other Chat anyway, though? The "diet RPs" go in Funtime and everything else in Other Chat. Besides... that would make 3 forums to scroll by everytime you want to view OC. That takes up much more room than stickied threads. =P

4. It's to make things easier to find. ^_^; MCG is really, really active, so when people are looking for a specific club they've joined, or want to make sure a club isn't already there before they create one, it's just easier to have the forum split into 3 categories rather than dump all but member fanclubs into one forum. =x

5. o_O; How would this be different from MOTM...? We've already got the Presidential thing and MOTM, so I don't think we need any more popularity contests. ~_~

O_o; Stickies. FAQ, Rules of the forum. Information. Meh. There are LOADS of different opinions sometimes. A sticky topic MIGHT get on. O_o;;;;

Well, if it was in Other Voting Polls, it would e \kinda official like. @__@;;; Besides, the stuff in MOTM are never official. And OC is just always a random forum for random topics.

I don't care about a new forum in Hacks. o_O;;; And besides, there are stickies to talk to...

Mixed Community Groups. o.o;;; In a Pokemon forums? XD; The real forum is for Pokemon topics. Other Clubs is for non-related to Pokemon clubs. >_>;;; It would be messy, wouldn't it? o_o;;;;

If it is so annoying to you, then why don't you help and remind those people who don't read the rules and the stickies and just show them how annoyed you are with the stickies as you are right here and lets see how far you get. The stickies are there for a reason, whether they are aesthetic pleasing to you or not.

Members Awards most likely isn't going to go over well at all with any of the staff, considering they were leniant about the Election and that had its bad side aswell.

We sticky threads so that people read them to a greater extent. If we un-stickied them due to a new rule, the staff would actually have to do more work due to all the people who have not read them. Categorising stickies, such as help stickies and lounge stickies avoid a lot of pointless threads all regarding similar information from being created, which would look more messy than a few stickies.

Hmm..i would say that more people visit OC than they do OV and so people are more likely to vote, but to be honest if the MOTM were to be moved, it qould probably go in a higher section as not very many people know about it. On the other hand, it's just a bit of fun. I'm relatively neutral about MOTM's location.

(i) We already had a discussion regarding this, and condoning and teaching hacking is not the way PC wants to be viewed, and may be edging towards illegality.
(ii)We already have OC and FTiP, i don't think we need to add another section -i think people would find it confusing as to what goes where -we have enough trouble already ^^;

The main MCG area is for Pokemon clubs. Other clubs is for non-pokemon clubs. Therefore we do need both subs.

We have MOTM, and the problem with yearly awards is that a lot of people come and go during one PC year.

Normally people just check the persons recent posts via their profile if they really want to find out more about the person, but im kinda neutral about this idea either way -dont mind.

Mods will have as many stickies as they need. I mean if you members actually *le gasp* READ THEM then they wouldn't hafta be there.

OC would be bare without pairups ect..

We can't have rom hacking on PC. Most of the time people don't buy the physical games so they're illegal.

More profile things? They don't even display on the posts so meh.

As for the 'Hack Showcase' we have two stickies, for rules and thinsg for them to know about, then three are for the monthly hacks, and two for the yearly hacks which are stickied for four months. I think all forums try to keep it to a minimun, I saw this way before on HotS aswell.

Well I did ask this idea, and it did work out on our forums, and nothing bad really happened. New users were actually learning. Now from what i heard is that we only allow the discussion of ROMs and having a 'Hacking School' would just be too much. *hint* This idea was originated by yours truly, not CC :P lol

Once again, another idea by PC. This was though before on Mods Lounge way back when the Pair Up threads were closed, and although some mods came with this idea it seemed like no, and thats how the new pair up trhread came to be and the otehr threads were moved. This actually does work, just letitng you guys know I have it on my forums and its actually working out pretty good, although i made no post counts and nothing bad has happened. Once again, Idea was made by PC Staff.

CC sorry to say but your just copying past ideas, I don't wnat to sound mean or anything but yeah, our forums did get an Award Ceremony, I know PC hasn't tought of one yet, or may they have. But it would be nice.

No need for this. Its like making public join reuqest like they have on Serebii, where memebrs can just join a title and it appears what group they are in. I bet anyone would just join all just to be as they say 'popular' and in the end I bet that memebr won't or doesn't even visit that forum.

Sorry i sound so negative, but come up with more original ideas. Like you used to. But most of these ideas are brought form our forums. -_-

As already said, with the hacking school PC would be seen to condone hacking to too great an extent. Talking about it is fine. Teaching it step by step is not.
