Hey guys, a bunch of my friends and I have all started playing the old rby games again. We're gonna build up our teams and battle.
I want to create a really strong, and really balanced team, however I also want to use some pokemon that aren't super commonly used.
I think I've come up with a pretty good team.

Can anyone comment on this? Any suggestions on who to add, who to take away, what attacks to teach them, etc. would be great.

    Thanks in advance

    Electric/ Bug- Jolteon (Water/ Flying/ Psychic)
    Psychic- Hypno (Poison/ Fighting/ "Ghost")
    Water/Ice- Gyarados/ Lapras (Fire/ Ground/ Rock/ Flying)
    Fire- Arcanine/ Ninetales (Grass/ Ice/ Bug)
    Dragon- Dragonite (Whatever)

Not too sure about a 6th. Was thinking a rock, like aerodactle or golem? Or a fighting, like hitmonlee? Or an all around like Nidoking? Some advice on this would be great. Thanks!

Unless you AR all your Poke's stats to 999 then there is no such thing as the strongest team.

I love your idea, but you're Pokemon kind of fail. I'd use the following:

    Typhlosion
    Gengar
    Skarmory
    Dragonite
    Tyranitar
    Blissey

    Give them the following movesets

    Typhlosion
    Flame Wheel
    Dynamicpunch
    Earthquake
    Crunch

    Gengar
    Thunderbolt
    Shadow Ball
    Psychic
    Confuse Ray/Hypnosis

    Skarmory
    Steel Wing
    Fly
    Roar
    Curse

    Dragonite
    Earthquake
    Surf
    Ice Beam
    Flamethrower

    Tyranitar
    Rock Slide
    Crunch
    Earthquake
    Dragonbreath

    Blissey
Rest (is Softboiled in Gen 2? If so, USE IT HERE)
    Seismic Toss
    Ice Beam
    Sing

You have great coverage and can switch into a lot of things (ie. fighting > Blissey but Gengar > fighting. EQ > Tyranitar but Dragonite > EQ.)

Well That sounds good, but in the Water/ice area I was always a sucker for Cloyster ;)

wow, skarmory cant learn spikes in the 2nd gen. that sucks

I don't know if Spikes is even 2nd gen. If it is, substitute Curse with Spikes.

    golem
    magneton

    blastoise
    -hydro pump
    -skull bash
    -ice beam
    -withdraw
    dragonite
    -outrage
    -dragonbreath/claw/rage(this depends attack/spattack)
    -
    -
    vileplume
    -petal dance
    -sleep powder
    -solarbeam
    -
    gengar
    -hypnosis
    -dream eater
    -spite
    -swadow ball(was it existing?)
    golem
    -earthquake
    -rock slide
    -explosion
    -defense curl
    magneton
    -thunder
    -tri attack
    -screech/lock on(for zap cannon)
    -zap cannon

king tyranitars team is good i
if ice attacks u have typhlosion
putting ghost and dark in the same team is kind of a wierd idea
    both used for beating psychic
maybe substitute gengar because he has a serious flaw on being part poison so physchic is still super effective so im thinking a ohhhh dual type water thing f some indefinite description
