Well i've noticed that my Storage boxes are getting a little untidy and so I ask what is the best way you have found to organize your legions of pokemon.

    I have several approaches:

1/ Sort the boxes by Pokemon types, but I found it difficult since there're so many dual types... (=_=)"

2/ The first 3 - 4 boxes are for the pokemon I used frequently. Box 5 and so on are really for storage.

3/ Sort the boxes by Pokedex no.

Thanks for the ideas, think im gonna do it by pokedex number and then keep events seperate

i have a file i use it sorts the pokes by National number. it leaves you 1 full box and 2/3rds of a box left over. i use the last box to put all the unown types still leaving 2/3's box for rares events yadda yadda yadda

    heres what i do.

2-5 boxes for my shinies, all named shiny!
2-5 boxes for my events, all named events!
2-5 boxes for my wi-fi/PBR team, named team

thanks, man this game needs more boxes, anyone know if something like pokemon box will be coming out for this

I did one for every type.
then my last box was water/norm
finally for flying I threw whatever I wanted in there that had flying as its type. And whatever I didnt went in the other category type.

hmm more interesting ways to think about. I wonder if there are any AR cheats that will order them for me.

I organize my PC boxes by type. Some boxes are multiple types if they go together or if I don't have many of either (Fight/Dark, Water/Ice, etc). I also have a box called "special" for my team and legendaries or others that I hold dear and don't want to trade. I also have two boxes for some types that I have many of (two Psychics for when I was breeding Ralts, two Normals because there's so many of them, and so forth). This works very well for me.

On my Diamond I organized most of my boxes by type, then within each box i use their dex number.

    1. Events
    2. Legends
    3. Dragons
    4. Fire
    5. Ice/Water
    6. Rock
    7. Ground
    8. Normal
    9. Bugs
    10. Dark/ Ghost
    11. Grass
    12. Psychic
    13. Electric
    14. Flying
    15. Fighting
    16. Poison
    17. Steel
    18. Others

I'm also working on another Diamond and a Pearl for more box space. I have a few overflowing booxes. XD

After reading all the posts in this thread, I think that my way of organising the boxes is the best.
    I organise them by levels..
    lv1-10
    lv11-20
    lv21-30 and so on
then there will be a few boxes extra
    I named those..
    Starters (eg. Charizard, Swampert)
    Legends (eg. Azelf, Cresselia)
Extras (any extra pokemon you have)
    Fossils (eg. Aerodactyl, Armaldo)
Eggs (any eggs that havent been hatched yet)

    I hope this helped...

    - All the pokemon I have caught simply for filling out the pokedex fill box 1, then 2, then 3, and so on. I don't have these boxes named, they're pretty much just storage.

    - The highest numbered box (so I only have to push left once after going into the PC) is called "Dittos." This is where I keep my Dittos for breeding purposes, as well as my Slugma for hatching eggs.

    - The next highest box, "Rejects" (yeah I'm mean), is a box I keep for hatched pokemon unsuitable for EV training. Once it overflows, I just release a bunch of them, because they're basically useless and there's no point to keeping all of them.

    - Finally, the next highest, "EVd," is for pokemon who are completely trained (EV trained, movesets, leveled to at least 50) and ready for competitive battling.

That being said, it's not very organized, so I'm appreciative of this thread so I can get some good ideas.

Before i started a new game, I had my boxes organized by Type, Shinies, Event, Legendary, and my battle teams.
