I think its gotta be Alakazam. I know its got great Sp. Atk and Speed, but due to its low defense stats it could get knocked out really easily by one strong attack.

    What do you guys think?

i agree, i always used to use him, as that i always ended up catching an abra in the beginning, but that 2 shot ko kinda thing pisses me off about it, no defense at all

    in D/P?

alakazam and lucario and garchomp. my medicham would destroy all three, btw.

I still use Alakazam for the regular one-player game, because there he can usually OHKO stuff before getting hit. But Gardevoir is better, and now that I have it Pal Parked into my game I might start training a Ralts.

Hmmm ever use reflect before to help with that problem...unless they had brick break (ouch).

Unfortunately, Alakazam has been always like that.

Unfortunately, I forgot that a few days ago

Unfortunately, I STILL only got a kadabra (Dur to lack of people to trade with nearby, working on that one)

Unfortunately, my newest team has too many pokemon like Alakazam

    Fortunately, I don't think i'm a total noob yet...

Alakazam is not overrated. You bring it in when the opponent has already taken some damage and finish it off, or predict a switch and use a move that will do alot of damage to the Pokémon switching in. That, or you switch it in on a support move such as Swords Dance, Calm Mind, Wish etc, Encore and start buffing it up with Calm Mind. None of the OU Pokémon are overrated, you just need to know how to use them.

The fact that every Pokémon can be countered does not make them overrated. But how are you going to get in your precious Medicham on any of them without it taking some serious damage or fainting? You'll have to switch it in after your previous Pokémon fainted, which means your Medicham will just be evening the score if your opponent is too stupid to leave Garchomp, Alakazam or Lucario in against your Medicham.

    Blissey, probably.
Sure it has FREAKING high HP, but it's defense is a LOT worse than Alakazam's. Take one hit from a Cross Chop or some other big fighting move and kiss your Blissey goodbye.

Sure it's a great special wall, but IMO it's just totally overrated.

That low defense probably won't hurt so much when you bring it into online play, but it makes training it really difficult when a machop 20 levels lower than you can OHKO you.

The problem with Lucario is that it doesn't have the moves it needs to cover all of its weaknesses. And yes, any good physical move can and will OHKO Blissey and Alakazam. Ph33r anyone who uses Mach Punch. I know that for sure because I've done both. I find it hilarious how one Brick Break drains all 700~ HP on Blissey. One hell of a confidence booster. :P

You know who I think is overrated? Rhyperior. People use it for its gret defensive stats, but one Ice Beam or Surf or something and it's pooched. Same with Aggron. One Flamethrower and poof. Also all Dragons, especially Flygon and Garchomp, who faint at the sight of an Ice Beam, which is hilarious since everyone has at least one Ice Beamer, or should.

I'll probably come up with more later. :P

lol it sounds like you're getting offended. the term "overrated" is overrated itself. but we can all agree that they are definitely overrused even in-game and because of their prominence in-game, they will definitely be abused competitively.

and btw, hell no would a medicham even have the chance of destroying any of those. i was being sarcastic. it's slower than all three and doesn't even have the defense to take any hits from any of those three. however, with 6 Bulk Ups under Medicham's belt, mine would be quite scary. we both know THAT would never happen.

    most overrated??
    hmmmmmmmmm

probably your starter (of course) or the main legend(Palkia, Dialga)

and for custom.. i say slaking. Slaking comes GREAT withy alakazam in a double battle, with its skill swap

isent the obvious answer for this one chansey and blissy. Everyone thinks they have good hp and they can defend, when the truth is that if they get hit with a great physical attack move like cross chomp they will probibally be 1 hit K-Oed.

I've used Alakazam as my started in FR. It's been great and a level 76 now, which has beaten the elite four, with only him. Hes dided though, in the Elite four, being a high level.
