Most Underpowered Type?

I think normal types. Not just because they have no advantages, but there aren't much good Normal-types. Chansey couldn't cause damage if its life depended on it, which is annoying since that's one of my favorite Pokemon.

Blissey can cause no damage? That's like... no where near true (i wish it's true though)
Seismic toss, counter and toxic are all common moves on a blissey that make it terrifying (well that stats are even more terrifying).

Fighting is crazily overpowered... Kairi said why already.

Grass having resistance to fighting would make some sense... you really can't punch a tree and expect the whole thing to be pulled out of the ground right?

Grass should be either balanced out, or be given Super stong Attacks that would kill even fire types.

I never really did understand Fighting being super effective against Steel. As if Hitmonchan's going to even graze a huge lump of iron like Steelix. :/

Dragons in R/B/Y were ridiculous. Why state that Dragon was good against Dragon when there were no Dragon attacks to back it up? (except Dragon Rage, which was fixed damage and only useful up until about level 20.) :|

In a fic of mine, a Hitmonchan was very good against a Steelix, but whatever... I kind of agree that Fighting shouldn't be strong to Steel. Maybe Electric or Water instead... Water types annoy me though.

Anyway, Normal is FAR from underpowered. Some of the best/annoying/strongest Pokemon are normal, like Blissey, Slaking, Zangoose, Snorlax, and Miltank in GSC. Those wily normal types always have tricks of their sleeves.

Grass types get picked on the most. 5 attacks are super-effective to them, and 6 types are resistant to grass (and a lot of those are popular types like flying, dragon, and fire). It's hard to use a garss type against water because water types almost always have ice beam.

I think grass is because, If I am correct, there are not so many water pokemon in the game...

Rave :tired:

Steel being just normal to fighting is chaos... do not change that... Steel is only weak to fire and ground besides fighting, and do we need the metal chicken of doom to be even more powerful against physical attacks?

well I think that grass should be resistant to fighting... not that much wrestlers can destroy a tree in a punch, could they? So it makes sense on logic, as well as balancing both types too.

I'm not sure about this one, but should water be weak to poison? Poison contaminates water is the logic, and water can always use another weakness (electric, yeah, but who cares about its other weakness to grass as hardly anyone uses grass moves... just draining Ludicolo, leaf blade and sunny eggy, or if you want to count to the extremes, other fellow UU fans) However I'm not sure if that's too tough of a nerf for water and buff for sludgebombing Breloom.

Grass sucks not because of lack of water types. Water types are everywhere, just that all of them are equipped with ice beam, and grass can learn nothing but monkey poo o.o;

Poison definitely needs more types that it's effective against, just as Electric and Water need more weaknesses. Poison owning Water would certainly be handy for all those Fire types that can learn Sludge Bomb.

I didn't think it was such a great idea to make Steel resistant to Dragon. I always thought of that type as the 'special' element that no type could defend well against.

I think water actually does okay with only special weaknesses, but then again maybe I just don?t want my little Vaporeon to start losing to Weezing. >_>

If water types didn?t have ice attacks, some grass types would be pretty broken?but if they had some more speedy users of Leaf Blade it wouldn?t be a problem. As is there?s like? three, four useable grass Pok?mon?

Fighting works pretty well to thwart steel and I think it should be kept that way even if it doesn?t make much sense. Again some of the dual steel types like Skarmory and Metagross would be a lot more difficult if not.

Yeah, Leaf Blade is Sceptile-exclusive, and Solarbeam is only good coupled with Sunny Day, which a) takes a turn to set up, b) increases Fire damage against your Grass type, and c) has to be re-cast after 5 turns. :/

So that, by default, leaves Razor Leaf and Giga Drain as the top Grass moves. Yipee. I suppose a lot of Grass types do have the uncanny ability to cause most of the status effects in the game, but they're not exactly accurate like Thunderwave/Yawn, etc.

Fighting types would be able to "uproot" Grass types fairly well, since they have so much strength.

Poison types have many good battlers. Many of them wouldn't make good use of Poison-type attacks. For example, Crobat does better with Fly than Sludge Bomb for stalling puposes.

Most Bug types are rubbish, though. Forretress and Scizor only do well because they are also Steel types, which makes them resistant to many types of attacks.

Shedinja and Armaldo can do well, but they can't make effective use of Bug-type attacks. For those of you that think Shedinja can use Silver Wind: it only has 5-8 PP. If you face a tank, you're toast. It's better to use Shadow Ball or Aerial Ace (only if you want to affect all foes and you have powered up with Swords Dance).

Ninjask is really only good for Baton Passing. In fact, Heracross is the only one that can make use of a decent Bug-type attack -- Megahorn.

Many Bug types also have the Grass- or Posion-type -- making them even weaker. Thus, I think the Bug-type is the weakest.

The only other bug type who is part Grass is the Paras line. Flying and Poison are very common pair-ups for bug types. I think what bug and grass needs is a universal move of decent strength that that can all learn from a tm, like Earthquake and Flamethrower.
