I don't know if this has ever happened to anyone else before, but I'm just gonna go with it. I'm playing Emerald, and I want to transfer my pokemon over to diamond. However, my Swampert has an HM, Surf. So, I go to the move deleter to get rid of it, and he responds, "Hm! Your Swampert doesn't seem willing to forget Surf." That's not the only move it has, so it's not that. It has Blizzard and EQ. Does anyone know why it won't forget Surf?

For some reason on Emerald, you always need each HM taught to any of your Pokemon. To make your Swampert forget Surf, you'll need to teach Surf to another Pokemon first (just pick any HM slave) and then Swampert will be able to forget Surf.

Thanks, he forgot it now. I've never even heard of that before.

I'm pretty sure it's a glitch restricted to Emerald only. There isn't any problem with the other versions IIRC.
