Why should Pokespecial get all the glory? Let's gather here to discuss Magical Pokemon Journey and Pokemon Chamo-Chamo Pretty, the two best Pokemon manga series evar.

Who's everyone's favourite characters? I like Hazel, Peanut, Koume, and Caraway. ^_^ My fav. ships are Hazel/Almond, Wal/Koume, and Pistachio/Peanut.

My opininion about Magical Pokemon Journey:
It's really not bad...
I'm a male but MPJ being shoujo manga is not that reason because of I don't like it like other Pokemon mangas.

I don't like it because:
Art is a bit erm... kiddish.
Pokemon look weird in this manga
Pokemon talk like people
It's full of shippings
Magic... ehhh....
Characters have stupid names (from nuts)
I know really little about this manga

But I also a bit like it because:
It's Pokemon Manga
Most of the girls in this manga are nice :D
It's romantic :D :D :D

I don't think it's bad.

That's its dub name. It's Japanese name is; "PiPiPi Adventure". (From Pikachu, Pippi, and Purin).

LOL! That sounded really funny the way you put it. XD But I don't really think it's any differant than Pokespecial characters being based off colors.

Anyways, I like PiPiPi Adventure. It's probably my second favourite Manga (yes, sorry, Pokespecial comes first for me ^^;;). I've never read Chamo-Chamo Pretty, though I want to. My favourite characters are Maron (Hazel), Almond, and Peas (Peanut).

Well, I'm getting volumes 1-7 of Chuang Yi MPJ. They're on their way to my house. I'll ask Christine if I can scan the front and back covers for you. Sorry, though, I don;t own the Japanese ones.

I have a couple of vols of PiPiPi, I like it, the art is very cute, and the stories while, a little blant are cute as well, a nice change of pase, from the typical pokemon stuff.

Magical Pokemon Journey is a change of pace for lots of people who only read the shounen Pokemon manga, like Pokemon Adventures and also the Pokemon series by Toshiruo Ono((Although this one is cute...)). The art is a bit different, but if you read shojo manga regularly, then it looks pretty normal. I've never seen or heard of Pokemon Chamo-Chamo Pretty, but if it's a Pokemon shojo manga, I'll find it!

It is true that the Pokrmon look different, but they are cuter that way. Squirtle is chibi, cute! Pikachu looks like himself, but his head and eyes are bigger. Clefairy can talk! This is the first comic that I have read with a talking Pokemon... I was a little surprised. I like Hazel, but I think she looks a little to young to be dreaming about Almond all the time. She looks like she's, like, ten!

I wonder how the story would be if Hazel met up with Satoshi,Takeshi, and Haruka, and went on a Journey with them.

All in all: MPJ is a great Pokemon shojo manga series worth looking into.

I wonder how the story would be if Hazel met up with Satoshi,Takeshi, and Haruka, and went on a Journey with them.

And there is a bonis story at the end of volume one and two in which Maron (Hazel) meets Satoshi and Kasumi. Very amsusing. ^^

Magical Pokemon Journey I'm familiar with and love, though I've never heard of Chamo Chamo pretty. However, if it's shoujo, then I'll probably adore it.

As for my favorite character, I think I'm going to have to say Hazel. The artwork for Magical Pokemon Journey is so.... cute, just like everyone else has said. It's also great to have a Pokemon manga that doesn't focus on a kid becoming a Pokemon Master.
