If you want to talk to people, send out a few private/visitor messages, get acquainted with the them and such, then have them add your WLM address.
And by the by, there's an 'MSN handle' field you can edit in your CP under 'Edit Profile', so you can put your address there. I wouldn't advise just showing up on a random forum and giving something like that away.
