It's only a week away from the prerelease, why the hell not. I've been tinkering (hurr durr) with this idea for a bit ever since I saw this bad boy spoiled.
So, it's time to screw around with my favorite fattie from the new set, and use an oft-forgotten rare from Scars of Mirrodin to do it!
-12- Creatures
-2- Blightsteel Colossus
-4- Kuldotha Forgemaster
-3- Wall of Tanglecord
-3- Trinket Mage
-24- Other Spells
-4- Preordain
-3- See Beyond
-4- Everflowing Chalice
-4- Ichor Wellspring
-3- Sphere of the Suns
-2- Mox Opal
-4- Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas
-24- Lands
-4- Tectonic Edge
-4- Inkmoth Nexus
-4- Darkslick Shores
-3- Creeping Tar Pit
-3- Drowned Catacomb
-6- Island
-15- Sideboard
-2- Myr Battlesphere
-2- Phyrexian Revoker
-1- Mindslaver
-1- Contagion Engine
-3- Spell Pierce
-3- Spreading Seas
-2- Memoricide
-1- Wall of Tanglecord
The goal of the deck is simple; quickly accelerate out the Forgemaster, tutor Blightsteel Colossus, and turn it sideways.
The deck's sideboard allows it to attack from a couple of neat angles. The interaction of Tezz 2.0 and Myr Battlesphere is downright SCARY. You can swap out the Colossi against UB and board in the Battlesphere. By itself, the card drains them for 10 with an active Tezzeret on board. The 1/1's the Battlesphere brings with it can gear up to 5/5 and start bashing face, too.
Let me know what you think! =D
