[MTG] MSS Draft 3 - Picks and Discussion

    So here I am again with another draft. Hope you guys are enjoying these! :P

    Pack 1 Pick 1:

    So I've had one previous draft where I opened Glissa and got fed ridiculous red, and when it comes to Glissa, you have to splash the black, IMO. It's very hard to play BG Dinos without Geth or enough artifacts to support 2-3 Bleak Coven Vampires, or just stupid removal and billions of Phyrexian Ragers. Glissa's a windmill slam first pick, but I have to be sure to keep my options open. From this pack, I'd love to see Fangren Marauder wheel, but it's extremely doubtful, given how awesome the card is.

    See, this is me going off of that fact. I got passed a ridiculous red card, I'm going to take it, build RG and splash black for Glissa. I mean, Spread the Sickness IS in the pack, but Besieged has few black creatures I'd pick up other than Phyrexian Rager and maybe Dross Ripper.

    Viridian Emissary is a very useful card for my deck, and I wouldn't even think of passing it...but unfortunately, Burn the Impure is in the pack, and has to be the pick.

    Pack 1 was strong, picking up two bombs and two quality removal spells. I unfortunately didn't pick up any Viridian Emissaries, which are key to any three-color deck, but going into Scars, I have two duals, Horizon Spellbomb and Myr for colorfixing. I'm hoping to pick up at least one Leaden Myr.

    An early Moat-esque creature is just what this deck needs. I'm quite disappointed by the lack of mana Myr in the packs, but I guess I just have to roll with it.

    Hellion is my favorite SOM dino, second overall only to Fangren Marauder. 5 hasty power attacking out of nowhere can really shift a board state in your favor due to how your opponent will have to block.

    Yeah, this draft went pretty poorly, but you know what, it's fine; if the nuts draw from an Infect deck doesn't steamroll me, I'm in the clear, and can just drop massive monsters that eat their poisonous little critters.

    So yeah, half the table was in red and in green, so I was pretty screwed over regardless.

    I played RGb Dinos again in an IRL draft tonight. I drafted 0 Fangren Marauders and 3 Sylvok Replicas. It was sad, to say the least. =(

    I got a Green Sun's Zenith, a Blue Sun's Zenith, a foil Flayer Husk and a foil Panic Spellbomb out of it, though, so I can't really complain. Pretty foils...:3
