Multi-Gen NU Challenge

In DPPt I am by far not as fast as in earlier generations, so I don't think so.
Whatever, here's my newest update.
- Sailed eastwards and did the whole Red Gyarados and Mahagony TR base stuff.
- Went back to Olivine and sailed to Cianwood. Beat Chuck, he was easy.
- Delivered the Potion to Jasmine and fought her. The magnemites were easily beaten by Raticate, and Ponyta could take care of the Steelix surprisingly well.
- Beat Pryce. Gloom and Ponyta did most stuff.
- Passed Ice Path and cleared the routes south of Blackthorn
- Flied back to Goldenrod and beat Team Rocket again.
- Saved back in Blackthorn after beating Clair's underlings, but not Clair herself yet. First I will have to do some grinding which will also involve getting Rapidash and Vileplume.

Team
:t020:Fear Me! / Raticate m Lv.39 @ Pink Bow
- Dig
- Shadow Ball
- Quick Attack
- Return

Stayed pretty much the same. My most fearsome attacker with STAB Pink Bow Return from a decent attack stat.
I'm considering replace QA with Iron Tail, but I'm not sure... Suggestions?

:t164:Invalid / Noctowl f Lv.39 @ Sharp Beak
- Hypnosis
- Return
- Fly
- Mud Slap

Currently a worse Gloom.

:t077:Snowmane / Ponyta m Lv.39 @ Charcoal
- HP Fighting
- Return
- Swagger
- Ember
I got really lucky with that HP, it has pretty high power (SE hits always OHKOd up to now) and equally important is that it gives me a lot of coverage I lacked before.

:t049:Mothra / Venomoth f Lv.39 @ Amulet Coin
- Psybeam
- Thief
- Swift
- Poison Powder

By far my best way to beat those pesky omnipresent Poison types. I wonder why I didn't give Return to this and kept Swift instead...

:t044:Drug Abuse / Gloom m Lv.39 @ Miracle Seed
- Absorb
- Sludge Bomb
- Moonlight
- Sleep Powder
Still no Petal Dance, thus this is still a Gloom.

I beat the Elite 4 now. Because I was overleveled, I managed to beat them without one Pokemon fainting. But it was pretty close because Lance's last Dragonite got a crit outrage in its last turn.

Update: Beat Red. My entire team was around level 60, and somehow I managed to beat him without any losses. I had to use plenty of Hyper Potions a Full Restore though.
:t025: No problem at all. I led with Vileplume, so Thunder did nothing to me. Sludge Bomb 2HKOd which actually surprised me since Plume's attack is mediocre and it was 20 levels under Pikachu. Still took some time to beat this because of the dozens of Full Restores Red used.
:t196: One of the hardest. I Toxic'd it with Noctowl and then spammed Hyper Potions until it died. After a Sp.Def. drop, Noctowl could just barely survive Psychics, but it did survive.
:t143: Another hard one. I put it to sleep with Venomoth, spammed Mud Slap with Noctowl at it while it was sleeping, healed off the occassional damage from Snore and Body Slam (Noctowl could again just barely survive these), used Toxic and 1 or 2 Returns and then it finally died.
:t009: Again, hard one. Venomoth put it to sleep, but it managed to set up rain I switched to Vileplume, it woke up, used Blizzard (did a bit more than half), he got freeze hax. I used Full Restore, the next Blizzard missed, Vileplume put it to sleep again and killed it with some Petal Dances.
:t006: My GSC team was pretty Fire-weak since I lack my Water type, so I had to use Rapidash. I spammed Return while Zard used a variety of moves. At some point, Rapidash barely survived something with just 4 HP left. After a Potion and one more Full Restore, it finally died.
:t003: The easiest. Rapidash 2HKOd with Flamethrower while all Saur did was chargin his Solarbeam.

Final Team:

:t020:Fear Me! / Raticate m Lv.60 @ Pink Bow
- Dig
- Shadow Ball
- Super Fang
- Return

Didn't see any use against Red, but overall, Raticate was still my MVP.

:t164:Invalid / Noctowl f Lv.60 @ Sharp Beak
- Toxic
- Return
- Fly
- Mud Slap

When I found out that Noctowl can't learn Psychic, I thought I could as well stop using this thing, but then I decided to give it Toxic instead, and with the help of this move, the thing that was my worst Pokemon in LG suddenly became one of my best against Red. Definetely a nice surprise.

:t078:Snowmane / Rapidash m Lv.61 @ Charcoal
- HP Fighting
- Return
- Swagger
- Flamethrower
The other positive surprise. Mediocre at best in LG, while here Rapidash did succeed in pretty much anything. Probably because I got lucky and got a strong Hidden Power Fighting for the most powerful physical attack stat in my team, it helped a lot.

:t049:Mothra / Venomoth f Lv.59 @ Leftovers
- Psychic
- Thief
- Swift
- Sleep Powder

It did not totally suck, but it was my LVP. Only 2 useful moves is just not enough, so it's probably my own fault that Venomoth was not that good.

:t045:Drug Abuse / Vileplume m Lv.60 @ Leftovers
- Petal Dance
- Sludge Bomb
- Moonlight
- Sleep Powder
Sprite looks retarded.
Johto is no place for Grass types, but this still did a good job. The only not so good thing was that I had to use Petal Dance again.

On to Ruby! Well, as soon as I finish my current challenge on Ruby...

Well, I may as well do this, seeing as I'm getting bored with my Ultimate Mono-type Run...

Character Name: Hobusu
Game Version: Pokémon FireRed to SoulSilver to Emerald to Platinum
Chosen Pokémon: Typhlosion, Ampharos, Quagsire, Pidgeot, Espeon, Bibarel.
Comments: Definitely using cheats to get Lv. 5 Pokémon. No other options in some games.

I'll switch between this and my Mono-Type Run every other day.
