Music of amnesia
The grey clouds loomed overhead, the air was filled with moisture. A young brown haired man took his blue coat off and handed it to a young blonde haired women next to him. The girl slowly slid on the jacket to keep her warm. They were both sitting under a small white gazebo, the womens black dress stood out from the man wearing a grey long sleeved shirt and white pants that fit him loosely.
The clouds grew darked and the boy checked his watch, it was half past six. Visiting hours soon would be over and he would have to leave, so he thought it'd be best to go inside and show the girl a gift he had made her. Something he hoped would help her, that in some way she would be his sister again.
As rain slowly started to fall, the two made their way up a small green hill and Into a lavender painted houses. It looked rather large, almost double the size of most homes. The young man slid open a screen door as he and the women with him made their way into the home. The interior was rather dim, a few photos by an unlit fireplace and a dark green couch at the far end of the room. Thick velvet curtians lined the walls preventing most sunlight from entering.
In the living room an ebony piano stands silently, as a faint light streams into the room through a crack in one of the heavy velvet curtains, dimly lighting the room and its two occupants. The young boy made his way to the piano as he sat down the girl on the couch.. Slowly the lid of the piano is lifted and a pair of white hands are gently placed on the ivory keys contrasting with the strong black shell of the instrument.
An eerie silence fills the room with an air of mystery, the young man takes a deep breath and begins to play. His figures danced across the black keys, releasing a melancholy beat. Slowly the music spreads, filling every inch of the small living room with its tranquil tune. Flooding the ears of the girl, she slowly lies down on the couch. Grasping a pillow together as she closes her eyes.
A beautiful array of color fills her mind, swirls of azure tones and passionate crimson appear before her as if in a dream. The two shades dancing with each other, mixing with one another. The beating rain from the outside adds a nirvanic sense of the young girls visions. She lets out a deep sigh as the melody continues to dance in her ears.
All anxiety, all worries, everything slowly drifted away as the beat filled her heart with a warm feeling of which she had not known in a long time. The heavens opened up releasing their tears, the young women felt the release of emotion as a tear slowly fell from her eye. She let the pillow go and sat up again, the emotion she felt wasnt sadness, but something calm which she had not felt in a long time.
The boy continued playing, letting his soul pour out into the vast richness of the melody, his figures glided along the keys without hesitation. He felt tension released with very passing note, his heart which had once been heavy with guilt was now rising. He remembered the cold rain as he played, he no longer let his guilt eat him away. The notes continued flowing out of the piano as if the mouths of angels had been providing the melody.
A lady dressed in a white nurses uniform came into the living room, she tapped the boy to inform him it was time to leave. The melody slowly faded away, the piano was once again covered. The boy went to the girl, he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and left the living room. The girl was left alone, she sat on the couch as she was overcome with a sense of joy. She let out tears, they poured from her eyes like a river. She wiped her eyes away and stood up walking over the piano, the glided her hands against the key cover. Her soft toned voice quietly let out the word...
