It alows you to exchange the pokemon in battle with another from your team giving it the abilities the 1st pkmn gained.

Baton Pass lets you switch between pokemon without losing your buffs. I plan on making an umbreon. I'd normally breed it myself, but I don't have any pokemon that can give eevee wish and I'm short on time.
