everytime i try to upload my new avatar this is wat comes out:The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 42000 bytes
    what do i do?

just make the filesize smaller ;)
cause its tells you that the filesize is too big.
for example convert it from JPG to GIF or from PNG to JPG or something ;)

Ya, if its a bitmap, change it to a JPG. There's almost no way a JPG @ 130?130P or less will exceed the filesize limit.

Easy - change it to .JPG. PNG NEVER works for me @@

Yes, I always use JPG, except for my animated avatars which are all GIF. Always go to JPEG, unless it is animated.

Oh yeah - I direct linked mine - it's a .PNG - to my photobucket album and it worked. And it's 130x130 pixels. So try direct linking it.

Yesh, but my avvy is .png and it loads really quickly at 52.0 kbps xD

As people have said above, I shall say it again! XD This has happened to me before as well. ^^ If that message pops up, it means your avatar is too large. Remember, the limits are 130x130 in pixel size for avvies. ^^

If you uploaded a file from your computer, then the KB's might be too large. You can then resize your pic and make it smaller. I'd also recommend saving files like that on .jpeg for it takes up less space. ^o^

Woot, I sounded smart for a second! XD XD *cough*

Ty, you can close it. She sent me the avatar and I saved it as a JPEG and now it works, she just hasn't put it up yet.

PNG files work fine for me, the limit is 130x130 so make sure your pic is no bigger than that.
