    Discard energy with Thundurus, and use Dragon Vortex to do tons of damage.

    4 Pokemon Communication (BW 99)
    4 Cilan (ND 86)
    4 Cheren (EP 91)

    4 Max Potion (EP 94)

    10 Water Energy (BW 107)
    10 Lightning Energy (BW 108)
     
    Thundurus is pretty fragile to be the primary means of discarding energy into the discard pile, don't you think?

    Why not drop 2 of each energy in favor of Professor Juniper? It'll give you a means to discard enough energy when you're out of Thundurus and don't have any Max Potion in hand. It'll also help you out if you've got a dead draw or a bad draw as well, and only have Juniper at your disposal.
