Can I just say that extreme hybrid builds like this will never work that well at all? >>; Like, phoenix-magician toolbox with soul control? what the heck?

    -___-'

I was trying to make more speed to the deck. It does but I may have to test it more then. it has in the past with other decks.

It is not a Phoenix-Magician toolbox. I just added another Apprentice Magician to the deck. Buy that way it makes more speed and gives me a better chance to search out Hand of Nepthys. Also the fact of deck thinning. Why I used the idea of Soul control is because I could use Soul Exechange with Hand of Nepthys.I did not meant to make the deck a extreme hybird. Using the two ideas could work since phoenix is a tribute also.

But true you could call it a phoenix-soul control. But not much of a magician- toolbox. Just different from your average deck.

    Thank you for your time.

Bold and such. The fixes are under the cards.

It wasn't that great to say the least. I've seen better from you.

Nothing's wrong with using Phoenix as all tribute monsters are equally afraid of DDA anyway, so I figure, why put the Phoenix down due to its weakness of DDA when everything else is equally weak to DDA to begin with.

Phoenix is destined to have spellcaster element, just because Hands is completely dependent on Apprentice Magician.

I'll just gear this towards a Phoenix deck, and ditch the soul control...

    -1 Jinzo
    +1 Mobius the Frost Monarch

I'll rather force my opponent to activate their quick-play magic cards during the main phase instead of seeing them during the damage phase. Mobius has the plus that it's less vulnerable to smashing if you got 2 monsters out there. We can argue how Mobius is weak to Tsukuyomi though, but only flip flops use Tsukuyomi anyway and they're too busy to waste Tsukuyomi on anything but Choo Choos.

    -1 Enraged Battle Ox
    +1 Mystic Tomato

Allows you to be slightly more diverse. It opens the path to Sangan most obviously (which Tomato should immediately pull out if you don't have it yet.) There's Apprentice toolbox if you didn't get any of it but you got Sangan, or reaper if you see an upcoming opportunity to destroy the hand.

    -1 Don Zaloog
    +1 Mystic Swordsman lv 2

Hand destruction is of less priority in comparison to Phoenix protection... at least, I think so. You'll automatically score advantage if you manage to keep phoenix alive to heavy storm-revive the field. Personally, I dislike Don Zaloog without the evil plant of doom in triples. However, I won't fuss about it if you ignore this change.

-1 Dekoichi the Battle Enchanted Locomotive
    +1 Reinforcement of the Army

Not a fan of Choo Choo unless you got room to include a lot of it with Tsukuyomi and so on... Let's draw those Lv 2 and Survivor out asap to rid of potential DDA facedown.

-1 Heavy Storm (you miscounted and got it in 2 times)
    +1 Reinforcement of the Army

    More Exiled Force action

    -1 Old Vindictive Magician
    +2 Gravekeeper's Spy

Waste enemy smashing as it's very unlikely they got other ways to get around Spy. Plus, we'll need more special summoning to further deckk thin + monster-thin in order to use a fix later...

    -2 Soul Exchange
    +1 Smashing Ground

Since you don't have DDA, we'll have to make up for the lack of monster removal in even more Smashing Ground. It's not that bad in rarity so I think that it's reasonable to just purchase one copy of it (it shouldn't be more than 2 dollars.) Note: I'm *never* fond of 2 Controller just because it's very risky... Dunno why Mullet loves them so much.

    -1 Nobleman of Extermination
    +1 Pot of Avarice

This deck needs those trap protection against DDA and DDWL to keep Phoenix out there. Pot of Avarice provides draw power, and reusing monsters have always been deadly for mid/late game.

    -1 Fissure
    +1 Sakuretsu Armor

Must kill DDA... Must kill DDA...

    -1 Magic Cylinder
    +1 Sakuretsu Armor

    refer to the above

    -1 Royal Decree
    +1 Sakuretsu Armor/Widespread Ruin

    refer to the above, above

    -1 Trap Hole
    +1 Ceasefire/Bottomless Traphole

More to see what's the facedown, and the burn is the minor thing. It's pretty promising to do a small decent damage, just because the various toolbox hybrid should keep your field full at almost all times. However, with the "field full at all times" should be an automatic reference to Cyber Dragon, so you may want Bottomless Traphole instead.

sigh... rich decks with DDA are just too powerful for a deck without them to fight it that well in a beatdown style. Just remember to attack last with Phoenix if you got multiple monsters out during battle phase.

Well then again. He might have to sac one of his monsters and the Hand, and not have a Soul Exchange to play it. So it's a two for one only to get removed.

Phenoix has lost a lot of power.
