I thought the idea was to actually rare candy up your pokemon so you can give them stat boosters (carbos etc) to get max base stats then ev train

That's a good strategy, and most people use it. First Rare Candy your poke to level 100 so it doesn't earn EVs (this way you will be able to defeat any in-game poke). This can be accomplished more easily if you use pick-up to get Rare Candies. Next, use vitamins in the appropriate stats, and finish with some training (and use the Macho Brace to help speed up the EV training). Take care.

Steelix is better of EQing Zam, Zam could probably take him on with Fire Punch anyway.

It would barly do 20% damage to zam, its sp.att stat is soooooooooooooo low, no matter how low zams sp.def is.

Which is why I said it's better to just EQ it.

I think it would deal more than 20% though, since it's a SE attack, and Zam has pretty low Sp.Def aswell.

It's an interesting idea though.

I don't think husk literally meant chuck it on you team to counter Zam!!

Well, whats the point anyway? CM, then fire punch= Dead Stelliex.EQ might be able to take it out, tho, with a critical hit. ;)
