Ok, there is still a lot of things that I'm not sure about but hopefully will master soon enough, but my attempts at making a card hasn't been completely wasted. The card picture is in the direct link in my signature... can't post images or links since I haven't made 15 posts yet.
First of all, this card is based on the Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Gameboy, thus the rules are the exact same as the card in there (the rules ain't mine, and they will stay that way). The card we are talking about is card number 193/228 (at least from UPC, Ultimate Pokémon Center), P16 of the Promotional Cards. You can also see the original Gameboy illustration there.
The illustration used in this card is one of the Clip Backs from Pokémon Zeo with some modifications, and the Dragonite image by Ken Sugimori. This is NOT the final illustration, but it serves as a placeholder for now. If anyone wants to help me get some of my cards illustration, feel free to step forth.
I tried to follow the placement tutorial from Pokémon Zeo, but I can't guarantee no deviances. If you notice anything about them, please point them out. They say that people learn through trail and error, so any feedback is valuable. I was very unsure about the placement of the Promo and GB set logo.
The GB set logo was designed by me. Don't know if I should drop the white border. What do you think?
Other than that, not much to say. I know that there aren't many parts that can be given feedback on since the rules can't be changed and the illustration is only a placeholder.
One thing though, one thing I really need feedback on. Since the GB can't exactly portray a holographic card very well, how should I go about deciding which cards to make holographic and which not, and why do you think so?
