My rating = 2/5 for effort. Save the image as .bmp or .png next time. It makes the image look less blurry. Looks nice for your 1st try. ;)

I'm assuming you are using MS Paint so - Click on the paint bucket icon to the left & click on the white square on your color palette below. Now click on the color that is surrounding your image so it turns solid white. Now click on the selector icon to the left (the icon that lets your drag boxes around things to move them) & drag a box around that image. While you have the box around your image, click on the 2nd colored squares icon below the menu to the left so that the white around your image is transparent to other images. Finally, drag your image to wherever you want to place it.
