Platinum team which is pretty bad

So here is my half made team

    Infernape Lvl 52
    Close Combat
    Flame Wheel
Fire Spin (Needs to be replaced)
Mach Punch (Needs to be replaced

    Staraptor lvl 50
    Close Combat
    Brave Bird
    Fly
Aerial Ace (Needs to be replaced)

    Kadabra Lvl 50
    Psychic
    Psycho Cut
    Psybeam
    Recover
I wish i had learned calm mind...

    Roserade
    Magical Leaf
    Petal Dance
    Giga Drain
    Synthesis

Yeah, it only has four pokemon, I'm kinda waiting for some legendaries. I heard both roserade and kadabra have weak defenses, i'm not sure if I should ditch roserade. And as you can see I haven't used a single TM. I heard you can catch lvl 48 gible and magnetons on victory road... I am currently going through distortion world. Would a magnezone and garchomp complement my team? I know I should use my TM's like shadow ball and fire blast. Would a garchomp or giratina be better for my team? And what are some good water pokemon you can find in platinum if that would be useful...

Not too shabby, but I'll let the experts give you a hand in the In-game Team Help forum.

    Infernape Lvl 52
    Close Combat
    Flame Wheel
    Flamethrower
Drain Punch/Focus blast W/T PP up (Focus blast better option)

    Staraptor lvl 50
    Close Combat
    Brave Bird
    Fly
Aerial Ace (I think this should be kept :D)

Kadabra Lvl 50 You should try evolve it into Alakazam, if you can trade it....
    Psychic
    Psycho Cut
    Psybeam
    Recover
I wish i had learned calm mind...Try getting a heart scale, and a man somewhere might be able to make it learn Calm mind...

    Roserade
    Magical Leaf
    Petal Dance
    Giga Drain
    Synthesis

    Gengar Lvl. 50+
    Shadow Ball
    Shadow Punch/Dark Pulse
    Psychic
Thunder/Bolt (That's a successful Pokémon on my Soulsilver version ;D)

    Garchomp Lvl 55+
    Earthquake
    Dragon Rush
    Draco Metor
    Fire Blast
(Got one on my Diamond, not got that moveset yet, but this thing's a beast)

My suggestion in Purple Bold :D

P.S: No, I don't think you should ditch Roserade, with all the rock and ground types in this game, it is sure to come in handy.
P.P.S: I think Gengar is the better option other than Magnezone, or Giratina. If you're in need of a steel type, replace Arial Ace with Steel Wing (Staraptor :P)

    Hope I helped! :D

Ok, sorting out the calm mind situation for ya :P

Make sure you've got a Heart Scale. These can be found from digging underground.
Go to Pastoria city. Walk down, to the lake. There'll be a man standing there, and when you talk to him, he'll say "Right where I'm standing, I'm smack-dab in the middle of town" Go inside the house the man is in front of, and talk to the man. In exchange for the heart scale, he'll let your Kadabra learn Calm Mind ;D

Okay, I just started a new game on my Platinum too, and I also got a Monferno, Staravia and Roselia, I'll give you some advice on your movesets. First off, don't use multiple moves of the same type on a pokemon, unless it's a priority move like mach punch or so. The moves I'm suggesting for these 3 are the same as I'm planning to use.

    Infernape Lvl 52
    Close Combat
    Flame Wheel/Flamethrower
Fire Spin (Needs to be replaced)Stone edge
Mach Punch (Needs to be replaced)Not really, actually, You'll find a lot of pokemon in the E4 who are quite fast, use mach punch to outspeed them. Or, you could use Swords Dance to increase it's attack, if you do that, replace Flamethrower with either Flare Blitz or Fire Punch

Infernape got both high attack and special attack, so he can pull off both kind of moves equally well, he's also quite fast, allowing him to strike first more than often.

    Staraptor lvl 50
    Close Combat
    Brave Bird/Quick Attack/Roost/Steel Wing
    Fly
Aerial Ace (Needs to be replaced)Return
3 Flying moves won't get you that far, Use a normal move to give him 2 STAB Moves.

Kadabra Lvl 50 Trade to evolve him into a Alakazam
    Psychic
Psycho Cut Calm Mind Go visit one of the houses in Pastoria City, you need a heart scale.
    PsybeamFocus Blast
    RecoverEnergy Ball
I wish I had learned calm mind...
NO PHYSICAL MOVES!!! *ahem* you can always relearn moves in Pastoria City, anyway, this guy is, like the others, quite fast, his special stats aren't a joke either, with some variation in his moves, he'll be quite powerful

    Roserade
    Magical LeafSludge Bomb
    Petal Dance
    Giga DrainShadow Ball
    Synthesis/Leech Seed
Come on, her defenses aren't that bad, with these moves she'll plow through many foes.

I don't like usinng legendaries on my team, they are way more powerful then the others, so you'll be finding yourself beating the E4 with only using them, they take huge amount of exp to level too. Here are some none legendary suggestions:

Some water types you can use:
    Gyarados
    -Dragon Dance
    -Waterfall
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Fang

    Tentacruel
    -Surf
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Calm Mind
    -Ice Beam

    Milotic (Warning, difficult to catch!
    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Recover
    -Toxic

    Others:
    Electabuzz/Electivire
    -Thunderpunch
    -Fire Punch (again, Pastoria City)
    -Earthquake
    -Brick Break
He's powerful alright, He won't let you down.

    Toxicroak:

    -Swords Dance
    -Sucker Punch
    -Poison Jab
    -Brick Break

    Scizor
    Technician!!!
    -Swords Dance
    -Bullet Punch
    -Aerial Ace
    -X-scissor

Technician increases the power of all moves with an attack till 60, Use Bullet Punch To attack first, it'll do some serious damage factoring STAB and a Swords Dance.

    Hopes this helps you!
