If I could put leagues in Pokemon Go this is what it would be like.

    1. You would have to win over around 100 gym battles to battle at them.
    2. You would have to be at level 20 and over.
    3. There would only be one in every region (like the other Pokemon games) example The Yorkshire league would be located in Leeds, London league in City Of London, Scotland league in Edinburgh and Wales league in Cardiff. As for America maybe 50 leagues in each state like the California league would be San Francisco, Texas league in Huston, Illinois league in Chicago and New York league in the city of course around Manhattan. I'm not sure how Australia would work though.
    4. The Pokemon at the top would be the league champions and you would have to battle your way though other trainers similar to gyms to reach them.

That's my ideas what a league would be like in the game.

Well, I like your idea of #3, except we could do leagues in state capitals or nation's capital. For example, the smaller leagues would be in cities such as Austin, Sacramento, Albany, and other state capitol cities. Washington DC would hold a larger Pokemon league. However, would trainers want to travel that far to win a league, though? That's just food for thought.
