"Go Tyrogue!" the boy released the fighting type.

"Hmm...." Rika thought it over.

"Turtwig!" Thor stepped forward.

"Alright, go get em'." Rika smiled. "Use Tackle!"

"Fakeout!" the boy smiled.

Thor ran stright at the other pokemon, who mearly sidestepped him before landing a blow to his back.

"Turt-wig." Thor sank to his knees as a wave of pain erupted down his back.

"You can do it!" Rika cheered. "Try withdraw."

"Turt!"

"How pathetic." the blond sneered. "Tackle!"

Tyrough slammed into Thor who had just finished stregthening his defenses. He skidded backward, but looked up with determation.

"Tackle again!" Rika called.

"Turtwig turtwig!" the tiny turtle slammed into Tyrouge's head.

Tyrouge stumbled back wincing, with a hand to his forhead.

"Tackle!" both trainers suddenly called at the same time.

The two pokemon clashed and Tyrouge fell backwards completly out of it.

"Lucky win." the boy frowned as he recalled his pokemon. "Let's see how you handle this one....Buizel!"

"Bwee bwee!"

"Thor return." Rika called. "Go, Bells!"

"Meah...." the kitten stepped forward, as Thor fell back.

When the pokeball stopped shaking with a ping, signifying its capture, Zack let out a loud whoop. "Alright!" he cried excitedly, grinning at the pleased looking Cranidos. "That was awsome, buddy! You were amazing!"

"Cran," Cranidos said, clearly pleased.

"Hey," new voice said, causing the two to turn. A girl that looked maybe a year older came out of the bushes. She was wearing tight jeans and a red shirt. "I'm Jenny, and I was hoping for a battle with someone."

Zack grinned. His first trainer battle! "Well, I'm just a beginner, but I'll battle you."

Her smiled brightened. "Really? Me too! How about a two on two?" She waited for Zack to nod. "I just captured this little guy, but I know he'll do well. Go, Wurmple!"

With a burst of light, a small catepillar emerged. "Wurm."

"Alright, go, Buizel!" Zack called.

With a burst of white light, the weasel appeared, though looked slightly out of breath. it turned to look at Zack, nodding once before gesturing for Wurmple to come at it.

"Wurmple, use Poison Sting!" Jenny commanded.

"Wu!" Wurmple called, sending out the darts.

Zack smirked. "Too slow. Quick Attack!"

"Bue!" Buizel barked, dodging the sharp needles and slamming into Wurmple's side, sending it back a ways with a sqweak.

Jenny gasped lowly. "Wurmple, try another Poison Sting!"

"Dodge and use Sonicboom!" Zack called.

"Bui!" Buizel called, jumping into the air.

Wurmple watched carefully and aimed, hitting Buizel in the stomach with its needles.

"Buiz," Buizel grunted, looking determined. With a loud bark, it slashed its tail forward, sending out the blast and knocking Wurmple back a ways. "Zel," Buizel gasped, out of breath. It's previous battle was still effecting it.

"Wurr," Wurmple sighed.

"Finish it with Sonicboom!" Zack demanded.

"Poison Sting!" Jenny demanded as well.

"Bui!"

"Wur!"

The two attacks hit, causing a mini explosion that sent the two pokemon flying backwards and into separate trees. The two laid there for a moment. It was apparent that the two were just too tired from their previous battles before catpure.

"Bui..." Buizel sighed, standing on his four feet, glaring at Wurmple, as if daring it to get up.

After a moment, Jenny returned her pokemon with a sigh. "Let's try this one! Go, Turtwig!"

With a burst of white light, the grass turtle pokemon appeared. "Tur!"

"Buizel, return," Zack said, recalling his fallen pokemon. He nodded at Cranidos.

"Dos," Cranidos grunted, walking forward.

"Tackle!" Jenny ordered.

"Headbutt!" Zack called.

"Tuurt!"

"Crrad!"

The two pokemon rushed at each other, literally going head to head with one another as they pushed and bashed their heads together. Cranidos growled lowly, having the upper hand with its rock hard head, but that didn't leave Turtwig exactly defenseless or weak.

"Keep at it!" Jenny cried out encouragingly.

"Cranidos, let it go," Zack said carefully.

Cranidos's eye glanced briefly at Zack before easily stepping to the side, allowing a surprised Turtwig to fall forward with wide eyes. "Tur!"

"Now use Headbutt while its down!" Zack laughed.

"Tackle it, Turtwig!" Jenny called.

"Cran!" Cranidos roared, slamming his hard head down on Turtwig before he could even get up, pushing the grass type deeper into the ground, creating a small hole with the presure.

"Tur!" Turtwig cried out, trying to push back against Cranidos.

"Another Headbutt!" Zack cheered, recieving a glare from Jenny.

"Tackle!" she cried desperately.

"Dooos!" Cranidos roared, pounding hard on Turtwig's body.

"Tur," Turtwig yelped, finally jumping away. It faltered a bit, watching Cranidos wearily.

"It doesn't know any grass attacks, does it?" Zack asked.

Jenny scowled but finally nodded. "No, I just got him."

Zack gave a small grin. "Sorry, but it looks like I'll be having the upper hand."

"Not if I attack first! Tackle!"

"Headbutt!"

With a battle cry, the two pokemon charged, once again meeting head to head.

"Turrr," Turtwig growled, getting pushed back, despite digging its feet into the ground.

"Dooos," Cranidos growled back, pushing hard against the pokemon like a bulldozer. Smirking, it raised his head once more, slamming down hard on Turtwig's shell.

There was an awful cracking sound, and Turtwig looked at his shell in horror, seeing the crack, before fainting from the pain.

Jenny gapped. "How... how could you?" she demanded tearfully, recalling her pokemon and running off.

Zack stood there awkwardly before finally turning to Cranidos. "You don't think you might have overdone it, do you?" he asked.

"Dos," Cranidos said simply, shaking his head.

With a sigh, he returned his pokemon and headed toward the ship that he could see from a slight distance. "If you're sure," he mumbled...

'Thor' grew to Lv 7

Buizel grew to Lv 7 and learnt Water Gun in the process, Cranidos grew to Lv 7 and learnt Focus Energy in the process.

The Ferry journey was OK, to say the least. Nothing special happened - just your regular boat ride.

Bellenshaw Island. More pokemon journey awaited Loman here. He'd need to start training properly now.

Route two was the only obstical between Loman and the city of Bellenshaw, how hard could it be? He thought.

Carefully, Loman tredded his way through the tall grass blanketing the route, listening intently for anything interesting. However, it's what he saw that caught his attention - smoke.

The source of the smoke was explained when Loman saw a little chimp trying its best to put out the small fire by blowing or stamping on it. It then looked up and saw him, and with a shock, it darted away, "Chim! Chim!" it shouted.

Oh no, this Chimchar wasn't getting away, "Vince! I need you!" Loman exclaimed as he released Vince from his Pokeball. Vince saw the running Chimchar and, without being asked, aimed it's poison sting at it. The needles struck the monkey and it fell behind the grass. Loman was about to pursue it when the Chimchar came to them - looking agitated.

"Perfect: it's not going anywhere. Use Absorb Vince!" commanded Loman, before his pokemon used the move on Chimchar. Chimchar - however - was a FIRE type. He simply brused off where he had been hit and lashed back with a Scratch attack. Vince was hit, but stood his ground.

"Try your new move Vince: Growth!" Vince's body seemed to glow a slight shade of green, and bulge out a little. It returned to normal size, but Loman noticed that - when he checked his pokedex - his Cacnea's Sp. Attack had risen! If Vince could use this along with poison sting and leer...

As he was stalling, he noticed the Chimchar had used it's own leer attack, reducing Vince's defence.

"Careful Vince! Poison Sting!" called Loman. The Cacnea did as commanded and let loose a series of Poison needles among Chimchar - dazing the monkey, giving Vince time for a...

..."Leer!" Vince then used leer back on Chimchar, who's defence had now lowered a little. It may take time, but with Chimchar's defence going down, and Vince's Sp. Attack going up... Lomans strategy might just work.

"Look out!" he said to Vince, who hadn't moved fast enough, and was hit by Chimchar's Scratch. Vince and Loman would have to work quickly. "Try to poison it!" he then suggested, as the Cacnea again used poison sting on Chimchar - this time poisoning it. "Excellent! Now use Growth a few times!"

Vince was performing his new move, boosting his Special Attack with each successful completion. Meanwhile, Chimchar was using Scratch on Vince, and when that failed to do any major damage, he tried to leer it then scratch it. To make up for the turns - the poison inflicted by the Cacnea was dealing damage - but only in little amounts.

Loman checked his pokedex: it said that Vince's Sp. Attack had risen four stages. He could keep going, but that would give Chimchar a greater opportunity to finish the job. Phase two of his plan:

"That's enough Vince! Leer!" Vince stopped using his new move and moved on to using Leer. The little Chimchar's defence was getting lower, and it was becoming fatigued, so it decided to do the same.

Both Pokemon. Eye to eye. Leer vs leer. It was a tight contest of the mind. If Vince could just keep it up...

... suddenly the Chimchar stopped leering and ran towards Vince, hands at the ready - for the finishing blow.

"Vince! Dodge!" Time seemed to slow a little at the point of impact... or at least what would have been an impact. Vince successfully lunged to one side, resulting in the Chimchar just grazing it's leg. The monkey stumbled...

Loman checked his pokedex, almost fumbling it: Chimchar's defence was down 5 stages...

"Try Absorb now Vince!" Sure enough, the Cacnea got up from the grass it had landed in, turned to face the Chimchar and used absorb. As a result of the consecutive Growths, Cacnea's special attack had now risen significantly. This, in effect, would result in an enhanced absorb attack - which it did.

And add all of this with Chimchar's poison...

...the little monkey fumbled to the ground. Vince looked at Loman, who had by now brought out one of his pokeballs. "Go!" he shouted as he threw the ball at the fainted Chimchar, concealing him within it.

Loman watched, heart racing as he watched the ball bob back and forth...

..."C'mon..." he said, "work with me here..."

Hmmm... Not quite enough One more post like that would do though.

Cacnea grew to Lv 11.

Chimchar burst out of the Pokeball, he signalled with Two fingers for Cacnea to bring it on...

"Buizel! Quick attack!" the boy yelled before Rika even had a chance to react.

"Too fast!" she cried, as Bells was tossed to the side like a rag doll.

"Me-ah..." she slowly climbed to her feet.

"Tackle!" Rika yelled.

"Counter with sonic boom!"

Bells rushed forward, only to be thrown backward by a powerful sonic boom attack.

Rika knew she had to figure something out, or she'd lose to stuck up over there.

"Bells, chase your tail...." Rika said suddenly.

"Huh?" the boy looked confused, as the small kitten began chasing her tail in circles. "What's that supposed to do?"

Every so often without him noticing Bells circles would extend slightly.

"Cute huh?" Rika winked. "But that's not all."

Bells suddenly jolted from her cute tail chasing and slammed into Buizel, knocking him onto his back. She slammed into him again just as he was getting up.

"Buizel, sonic boom again!" the boy yelled, getting angry.

"Dodge, then tackle!" Rika smiled.

"Mehh!" Bells dodged the attack and hit Buizel in the gut.

Buizel dropped down to one knee.

"One more tackle!" Rika cheered.

"Buizel, return!" the boy called, before Rika could finish him.

"Hey! We weren't done!" Rika turned to glare at him.

"We are now." he laughed.

"Why...you.....you....."

"Don't you have a ferry to catch. I think it's leaving now." he pointed to the small water vessel the was slowly pulling forward.

"They can't!" Rika yelped. "Bells return!"

Rika rushed forward, then turned back slightly. "Thanks..."

The boy rolled his eyes and waved slightly.

Rika ran forward, closing the distance between herself and the ferry. "Hey! Wait up! Don't leave without me!"

"There's a girl chasing the ferry." a man looked up from his newspaper.

"Really?" his wife asked. "I don't think she's going to make it."

"There's another boat dock ahead right?" he asked.

"She wouldn't." his wife wondered.

"I can make it! I can make it!" Rika chanted over and over.

She ran along to the end of the boat dock just as the ferry reached it's middle.

"I can!"

Rika jumped onto the ferry, flalled her arms as she almost fell back into the water, then regained her ballance and walked forward her hands stuffed into her pockets like nothing much had happened.

"Strange girl." the wife remarked.

Her husband only chuckled.

... "Damn! It's not over yet Vince: got any energy left?"

Vince gave a reassuring look. His Sp. Attack was still high.

"OK: poison sting it!"

Vince, now used to this move, now pointed only one arm and aimed. The Chimchar too was getting ready and it soon turned into acrobatics: the monkey was ducking, jumping and swerving to avoid the needles, with Vince only hitting him a few times...

"He can do all that while being poisoned? Wow..." said Loman to himself, "Try Absorb Vince!"

Once again, Vince sapped health from the tiring Chimchar - but to no great effect. The Grass against Fire difference and all...

Chimchar leered Vince.

"Look out!" shouted Loman, hoping for Vince to repeat the timed dodge he had executed earlier. There was no luck this time however - Chimchar swiped the Cacnea with his outstretched hands, knoking it back a few feet and on it's face...

..."Vince!" said a worried Loman. Was this Chimchar going to beat him? Would he have to run to the next town and risk never running into this pokemon again? No. He couldn't. This pokemon was to good to let slip away.

To Loman's relief, Vince was staggering to his feet.

"I like your spirit Vince. Now, use Absorb again!" It might take a while, but Vince might just be able to slowly drain the energy from Chimchar.

Another Absorb passed. Chimchar was still standing. It ran straight for Vince, hands ready...

..."No you don't! Leer!" commanded Loman. Vince did as asked and used Leer: glaring at Chimchar with almost empty eyes. The monkey froze, looking rather shocked. Now was the chance.

"Poison Sting infront of it!" Vince quickly respoded with a rapid fire of poisonous stingers hitting the ground right infront of Chimchar. The little chimp looked down and noticed the sand from the ground rising up before him. He was quickly shrouded in a cloud of sand, unable to see where he was.

"Perfect! Now aim up!" said Loman to Vince. The cactus pokemon aimed the firing needles up a little before they started hitting Chimchar. The cloud dissapeared to reveal Chimchar holding his arms infront of his face. This was the best opportunity...

..."More ferosity Vince!" Loman shouted, before his Cacnea increased the power, volume and speed of the needles, using both of it's arms now. Hopefully Loman's plan would work before Vince got too exhausted - he was already breaking sweat.

The Chimchar was trying it's best to stand it's ground against the oncoming needles. The poison it had already recieved and it's tiredness were beggining to take effect however. It was slowly being forced backwards...

..."C'mon Vince! You're doing great..." called out Loman, supporting his pokemon in any way he could. By this point, Chimchar had been backed into a tree, still being pounded by the small bullet like needles. It eventually began to pant.

"Move in closer Vince!" Vince, still firing, walked closer to the Chimchar, "Now:" shouted Loman, "Growth!!!"

Vince immideately stopped firing. The Chimchar fell to it's knees. Cacnea gave out a cry, using all it's energy to strengthen it's special attack.

"Absorb!!!"

The Chimchar flinced as Vince used a powered up Absorb, slowly stealing it's health. One it ended, he was ready to drop.

"This time pokeball!" said Loman. He tossed another ball at Chimchar, again trapping it inside.

"This time..." Loman quietly repeated as he, and an exhausted Vince, waited for the moment of truth...

Loman walked over to the ball once it stopped moving.

"Finally. It's over..." he said, and he looked at Vince. The little guy was looking very worn out, but he was pleased with his hard work. Loman patted his head, "Thank you buddy." he said.

Luckily, Loman had packed some supplies before his journey, and he gave Vince and his new Chimchar an antidote and a potion.

He then released the new team member from it's pokeball. "Chimchar!" it said cheerily, clearly thankful for the health boost.

There was one more thing, Loman thought. "Chimchar," he said, "would you like to be my pokemon?"

The Chimchar looked at Loman, before Vince walked up next to him, arm outstretched. The monkey nodded, "Chim! Chim!" it said while smiling and shaking with Vince.

"Wonderful!" said a relieved Loman, "Now, your nickname... what suits you best?" He thought for a second or two, "How about... Mojo?" he asked.

The Chimchar's face lit up with the name. He bounced up and down, "Char!" he replied.

"OK. Mojo it is." Loman said before returning 'Mojo'.

Now it was on to Bellenshaw City...

Okay, I posted on your other RP, I'm dropping here, and moving over there.

Zack could see the boat pulling into the harbor now, indicating that he was now on Bellinshaw Island. It had been a short ride, but he had managed to heal his pokemon with the on boarding healing machine. Too bad he had spent most of the boat right waiting in line instead of getting something to eat. Oh well, he was was just excited to be moving on.

Stepping off the boat with the other passengers, Zack saw a high sign up ahead, one that pointed to various areas. While most went toward the small inns or stayed near the beach, Zack immediately head off toward the next route.

"I wonder what sort of pokemon are around here," Zack murmered. Grinning, he released his two pokemon, not even shielding his eyes against the bright light that produced from the pokeballs.

"Cran!" Cranidos grunted, slamming his foot to the ground.

"Bui!" Buizel called out, folding his arms and looking up at Zack.

When it became apparent that there was no challenger, they gave him a confused look. "Er, well, I just thought it would be nice if we could all walk together for company," Zack explained.

"Dos?" Cranidos asked, as if wondering why is should do that when it could battle.

Buizel clearly thought the same thing. "Buiz," Buizel muttered, eyes widening in shock as he spat to the side, revealing a light blast of water. "Bi!" Buizel cried happily, launching a Water Gun attack towards some trees.

"Alright, you learned Water Gun!" Zack said excitedly, throwing a congragulatory grin at Buizel.

"Ty," a low growl interrupted them, having them turn to the trees. One pissed off, and rather soaked, Tyrouge appeared. "Tyre!" it barked, shaking a fist at Buizel. "Rouge!" it called, running at the water type.

"Watch it!" Zack called.

"Buiz!" Buizel barked, jumping back, but Tyrouge slapped his palms together, right on Buizel's nose, causing the poor pokemon to flinch.

"A Fake Out," Zack realized. "Buizel, when you get the chance, Water Gun!"

"Tyrou!" Tyrouge roared, Tackling Buizel back a ways, using its flinch to its distraction. However, because Buizel was now unstuck, it smirked.

"Zeel!" Buizel barked angrily, mouth wide open and releasing the blast of water.

"Rou!" Tyrouge screamed as the water pound painfully against him. "Rou!" Tyrouge snarled, charging again for another Tackle attack.

"When it get's close, jump right over it and use Sonicboom, close range," Zack ordered.

"Zuil," Buizel growled, jumping over the small fighting type. Buizel grinned and slashed his two tails downward, striking Tyrouge right in the head with the air strikes.

"Ty," Tyrouge growled, shaking in pain. "Rou!" Tyrouge shouted, fighting the pain and Tackling Buizel as soon as it landed.

Zack had to give it credit. That was one strong pokemon, but fighting types were well known for their will and spirit. "Buizel, Water Gun!"

"Buuui!" Buizel yelled from his position on the ground, not even bothering to get up as he blasted the water at Tyrouge.

"Ou," Tyrouge moaned, bouncing across the ground. Eyes narrowed, Tyrouge got up. With a glare, Tyrouge charged again for another Tackle attack.

All it had were close up attacks while Buizel had long range, which gave them an advanatge. "Water Gun!" Zack called. "Don't let it hit you!"

"Ell!" Buizel barked, nodding happily as he fired the water.

As the water came at it, Tyrouge smirked. "Rou!" Tyrouge dove at the water, rolling right under the attack and using the momentum to jump at Buizel.

"Zil!" Buizel yelled in shock, doing a quick flip back and using its tails to send a Sonicboom at Tyrouge, sending it flying away and in a clump of limbs.

Zack blinked in shock. He hadn't ordered Buizel to do that, but was it simply because Buizel was used to being wild that he could come up with his own ideas in batle, or was here more.

"Buizel, are you alright?" Zack asked, coming up to his panting pokemon.

"Bui," Buizel breathed, nodding. Buizel turned to the fallen Tyrouge and bowed his head slightly in respect of a strong opponent.

"Buizel, what you did in battle, do you know if you could do that again in future battles?" Buizel cocked his head in confusion. "When you did that flip and attacked without me ordering you to. If you ever see something that I can't and can't give out an order, just use your instincts. I suppose its just the way you battle since you used to be wild and all..." Zack trailed off, slightly unsure if Buizel would be irritated that its freedom had been taken.

However, Buizel just barked out an agreement, face thoughtful as he stared up at Zack. "Bui," Buizel said with a grin.

Zack grinned back and turned to Cranidos. "That goes for you too, Cranidos."

"Dos," Cranidos grunted, digging at the dirt with his left leg.

Zack chuckled lightly. It seems he would need to find a challenger for Cranidos soon. The rock type looked bored...

When the ferry finally reached land Rika was only too happy to disembark. The small ride left her feeling somewhat ill.

Upon finding herself on route 2 she released Bells for some fresh air.

"Myaa..." she chirped happily, and begain following Rika down the route.

"Bud budew!" a small grass type lept in their way almost immediately after entering.

"I guess we're in it's territory." Rika shrugged. "Bells attack!"

As soon as Bells was within range Budew used absorb to sap some of her strangth.

That stopped the small kitten in her tracks. "Meh?"

"Use tackle!" Rika ordered.

Bells ran at the Budew, this time dodging another absorb and slamming into the grass type.

"Bud!" Budew fell over, and kicked it's feet in the air tyring to get back up.

"Give it another tackle!" Rika smiled.

Bells slammed into the Budew again, this time sending it sliding across the ground.

Budew jumped up angirly, and used another absorb, but Bells was ready and the attack did little. She tackled it again, and Budew was out for the count.

"Great job Bells." Rika bent down to pat her pokemon on the head.

"Horsea....?" a voice called from further ahead.

"Huh?" Rika wondered. "Let's go check it out Bells?"

"Meaa..." the kitten took off after her trainer as she ran off down the route to invistagate the sound.

@ Rii: Can't wait for the Horsea battle, Bells may have a little exp.

'Bells' grew to Lv 8 and learnt Sing
