3rd Gen My one complaint is the weak trainers

to me,unless I find a way to place I'm not supposed to go yet,...all computer trainers are weak to me.....I'm pretty good at dividing the Exp. withh all poke'mon in the party,....so I get used to weak trainers....well,only sometimes, when I have to fight continuasly ["SOMETIMES"] (meaning due to rushing and type dis-advantage)do trainers ever pose a threat to me...

One thunderbolt=bye bye Gyarados
Yep, just like 95% of all Water-types. Not sure what your point is there.

Nooo, not the wild Pokemon! (I got a tad overexcited.) I have a rule when it come to leveling up Pokemon, they are stronger when caught and Leveled up from the lowest level possible (say when your first Starter Pokemon, it begins at Level 5). If you compare a Leveled up Pokemon to a freshly caught Pokemon of a similar Level, you'll notice the difference. If you don't believe me, try it and see.

And as for Magikarp, I understand that it evolves into a powerful Water Pokemon. The same goes for Feebas (Milotic is cool).
Trained Pokes being stronger than wild Pokes occurs because when you catch a wild Poke at Lv30 it has no EV points, while the Pokes you train from Lv5 have earned them from every battle. That said, once you catch that wild Lv30 Poke and you EV train it properly, it will be just as strong as the Poke you spent training from Lv5. The only factor you cannot control, unless you are breeding, is what the IVs (Individual Values) will be. Those are randomly added to every Poke in the game.

BTW - While Magikarp and Feebas evolve into powerful Pokes, Luvdisc does not. It stays the crappiest of them all.

So that's how it's done.
I think the CPU Trainers Pokemon must have been programmed with bad IVs (Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, besides, CPU Trainers wouldn't have EVs).

And please leave Luvdisc alone. It has suffered enough.

My point is, Gyarados is part water part flying...Meaning Thunderbolt does 4 times the damage instead of two...Most evolved water types are decent. That you might have to up it to a thunder..

if you ask me, the elite 4 are a laugh, i totally DESTROYED them with only one pkmn, being a lvl 68 flygon, and 6 max pots and the 3 glass flutes. the rematches with trainers should be more powerfull too, and in my oppinion Wally should get a bigger role after elite 4, in stead of being in that stupid cave 24-7, poor, fragile astmatic guy in a cold molded cave, but back to the topic:

the first gym with lvls around 10, and a few more than 2, and more than 1 double gym battle, more 2vs2 battles in the entire game, i like them^^ testing my combo's

higher lvls=more exp=faster leveling=more powerfull pokemon=means more room for higher differences between gyms, so raise lvls of the basic trainers, gyms and elites

I hate 2 vs. 2 battles....

They rob experience of pokemon because they devide between. They suck when you are trying to raise one pokemon. Death to the 2 on 2 battles. If I want experience to be deivded I woulda got the EXP share. Death to 2 on 2...

2v2 battles are made for using Exp Share, if you know how to do it. First you start with a strong Poke and your Poke holding Exp Share. Then you switch that Poke out for a different one and then your Exp Share Pokes earns 75% of all the Exp points earned from those two opposing Pokes, while your other two Pokes share the remaining 25%. Hopefully, you were able to follow that.

So the E4 in R/S/E are just as weak as the one's in G/S/C? In FR/LG it was cool because I still struggled to win with my level 50's and now that they've powered up Lance's and the Champion's pokemon are in their level 70's. I've just managed to beat the levelled up one's with level 65's, but even then, it was only by chance that I had a critical hit against the level 70 Alakazam. Just a teeeny bit of difference from those level 50 R/S/E E4. I think its obvious who would win out of the Kanto and Hoenn E4...Still, the Kanto E4 are kind of easy to beat.

Ack. I totally agree with this. I ws just thinking this the other day, replaying my crystal in the elite four. I mean, you dont even fight any lvl 50+ pokemon until lance! The rest of the E4 is all down in loooow 40s. It's just too easy. But i'll tell you why. The company is aware a lot of the customers are young kids, like 5 and 6, and they dont want to make it too hard for them. They forget about the dedicated older fans that were here from the start. So they make things nice and easy to make more money. Like the help system in firered leafgreen. You don't need that to learn the game; we all survived just fine in RBY. (and i hate how the thing comes up every time the L&R buttons get accidentally tapped xD) But your right.

I'd have to disagree with the help system, my father really could have used it when he got bored and started to play the game(original blue version)...xD...that was weird...luckily my brothers and I were there to help him out and show him all the cheats on the game, I do agree with the level thing though, I need bigger butt to kick please...><

You could always fight both the pokemon with only one...xD...or you could avoid the 2 on 2 battles...

Heh, wimpy loser trainer CPU guys. *Shoots them all.* Now, can we get someone talented in here? Seriously, after 2 badges, all stuff gets kinda... meh. I WANT TO LOSE!!! Wait, that didn't come out right. But seriously, why does everything suck so much? And BTW, Luvdisc's stats excluding speed DO suck, but it's good for preparation. Luvdisc was INVENTED for the sole purpose of being annoying. And using Sweet Kiss before it dies.

I just had a glorious idea! All members of a gym leader's team must be the same type, but the second type may vary. Rather than focusing on the common type, leaders could possibly focus on other attacks still matching the pokemon's type.

Example:

Ground Type Gym

Leader's Pokemon

Numel - Fire
Geodude - Rock
Swinub - Ice

Of course, that, as stated above, would be too hard for some players.

If a geodude swinub and numel are too hard for people. You should really throw away your gameboy and freakin kill yourself. My god

Surf, then surf again, then just beat on swinub with physical.

I'm not saying that I would have trouble, and besides, with that choice of pokemon, this would obviously be very early on in the game.

yes, i understand, but i still think that they should raise the levels of all pkmn. i have finished the main story on the game, and i didn't lose 1 single time!

in the good old days(rby/gsc) i used to lose every once in a while!

Yeah!, one very very annoying thing is how by the sevii islands, trainers have things like lvl 50 geodudes! Evolve them for god sake!

i know and some of the trainers r just so weak, i finnaly see a guy with a golem and i'm like thank u, but u see, HE ONLY HAS ONE, the dude is blown away by my dragonite.

the only time i thought it was cool was when i faced the elite 4 the second time in FR
