Right now I'm at Mossdeep City Gym with Tate & Liza.

I have a 1-man team (Level 51, Blaziken), but I'm thinking of starting on my Battle Frontier team.

I have about four specific Pokemon in my mind. Here is what they are:

Weezing (I'm not sure about this Pokemon, but from what I've looked at, it seems pretty well rounded and an extremely difficult Pokemon to kill when you don't have the moves.
Forretress (I've looked for YouTube videos with this Pokemon in the Battle Frontier, but I haven't found any. If someone could tell me whether or not this is good, that would be great).
Flygon (Common Dragon-type used for competitive/Battle Frontier battles).
Altaria (An even stronger Dragon, but doesnt' have the STAB Earthquake).

    Help me!

    Hmm...Yes, I see.
    Well...You can get a Gardevor.
The highest base Special in Emerald if you can't get Alakazam. Even then, it's still really good.

    Thunderbolt
    Psychic
    Calm Mind/Something
    Something

Salamence is also a good choice as a mixed sweeper.
    Ah...Metagross. Definitely Metagross.
    Explosion
    Agility
    Meteor Mash
    Earthquake

If you get something like a Jolly nature, you can probably go without Agility and do a bit of Speed EV training. I didn't have Jolly and even without a lot of speed EV's, I still managed to outspeed a surprising amount of Pokemon.

Just smash 'em until your near-dead then Explode.

Sorry, but I forgot to mention I want to use one of the Pokemon I've already selected (only one).

    Thanks.

Well, since you chosen Blaziken you are definitely going to need a Pokemon that can resist strong physical attacks. Both Weezing and Forretress are great at that, but Weezing Levitate Ability gives it the edge since Earthquake doesn't touch it. On the other hand, Forretress can lay down Spikes, but if you want that you really want to go with Skarmory as it is the greatest physical wall in the game.

Altaria is laughable and Flygon requires good breeding in order to get it to be as effective as Salamence. You just cannot discount a STAB Earthquake attack, although Swampert would be a much better choice, for obvious reason.

What do you mean by Altaria is 'laughable'? Are you saying that it's so weak you laugh at it? Or is Altaria laughable because it's so good and I'm deciding on wheather to get it or not?

I'm going to go with Weezing/Claydol, but now I need a third Pokemon. Open to suggestions.

    Hooom.
It's not necessarily the Pokemon that make the team...I wasjust thinking. Pokemon are important, yes, but getting a few strong Pokemon, screw weaknesses, and it's the moves, stats and the way they're used that'll get you the victory.
Just pick a strong all-rounded team and smash your way around.
I did it with a Metagross, Salamence and Starmie.

Hum, I think that you need one pokémon dragon, for example; dragonite, (but is imposible to catch if you don't use gameshark :S)
But...One muk, maybe is a good pokémon...
With sludge bom, minimize, and two atacks that you choice...

I agree with eing...a dragon might be good to have!!
