My Pokemon Game

To use the group CBS you basically just merge both projects together.. If you can't understand how to do that then you probably wouldn't be able to customize the CBS..
I like your towns :) When do you think a demo will be available?
 
Hey, Meerkat..i probably wont release a demo. Cos i dont know how to create a CBS and CMS.. there is a possibility that drop my project. Also, i am using your Title screen.. The 1 with the green background and Unown on it.. is it ok if i change some of it if i get to learn how to do the cbs and cms?

and Daegon, that is not what the Maze is gonna look like.. What i have done is Done the entrance to the maze... you go inside the door and you meet a moany guy, he may let you pass. Then you go upstairs to meet a calm guy then you go outside.. it takes you to a different map. Hope you like it.

So, i may not continue with my project. Thanks.
 
maybe it is better to use fr/lg graphics or r/s graphics, your forest looks like its made of r/b/y or g/s/c graphics...
 
Yeah, i think you are right.. Does Any1 have Rby/Sap Forest Chipset?

just do now what you can, then start programming the easier things, you will slowly learn how to do other stuff then...

( i dont really like the events i have made) I mean, i do like the idea to have people to help, I just dunno what to do about this.

Hi all! i am back from a nice holiday and a massive breakdown on my pc! I still have the game cos my sister had it on her pc.
So, now i gotta learn all the commands again so i am hoping some people can help me.

What i want to know is how to make a Incredibly Newb - Easy peasy to understand CBS tutorial, can sum1 provide me a link?
If not, then can sum1 tell me a Pokemon Game that haves and Incredibly Good CBS? I will ask the creator of that game if i can use his cbs. Thanks Alot All!
 
Well you can go to www.gamingw.net and check the RM2K tutorials section.
If you look around, you'll find some very useful tutorials in no time. I especially
recommend the tutorial that Rast put together.

Ok, does any1 have a game with a really good cbs?
 
Try gaminggroundzero. Download Kindred Saga. It has a very well made, CBS
but can run slow on some computers. You really should not double post.

Do u think i should drop my project? or do you think i should leave all the CBS and CMS unti l i have done all the events and maps?

Definately leave the CBS for last. Work on the maps and have a good time doing it. That way you won't lose interest in your project.

And that tutorial was pretty straight forward for all I could tell. What parts couldn't you understand?
 
For the link to the tutorial above, i dont understand these:
1. The creator is not telling us if we should put
<>CYCLE
<>
<>END CYCLE
In common events or into Events ( with pages)

2.I dont understand this
<>Set Event Place - cursor - var[0002]handX, var[0003]handY
I think i have a weird version of RM2k3

3.I dont know how to make seperate menues like Trainer, Pokemon, Items, Options work in RM2K3.

I am not saying that the guy who created the tutorial is bad ( i am bad, dont understand things) all i am saying is that i need to know more but then his tutorial looks easy ( the coding is except the 1 i put above) but.. well... i dunno what to say :(

All of your CMS stuff should be in Common Events. Events are for things that happen in a specific map, and common events happen on ALL maps. So yeah, CMS's are Common Events.

That CMS involves using an event as a cursor? It works, but I prefer pictures. Anyway, the command Change Event Location is located on the second tab five under Teleport. Select the event you're using for a cursor and then select "Location Referenced from Variables" and select those 2 variables.

For this you can use a seperate map and teleport. That's what I did :)

I think i am getting the hang of the CMS but.. well, it is chipset made but i need to know how to make a proper Item menu and most of the other menues you can make for pokemon.
