i Think This Is Suitable For This Forum,

OK over the years i have played many pokemon games and have had many memories, after playing pearl I wanted To Get Into Online Battleing, I Thought I had a very good chance with my team i had collected in the game, i never knew about EV's or IV's or How To Base A Team Strageticaly, So I had My Fire Types And Mywaters and grass, Thinkin I had a good combination, so i went into my first battle and got totally K.O, i felt bad, I had gotten my first battle on pokecommuntiy, hooking up with a guy who's name has passed my memory, Gladly he told me all about EV's And IV's, to be honset, i Didnt have a clue what all this meant, i started gettin frustrated with all the science that go into pokemon, i really wanted to get a good team and stick with it but when ever i finnaly EV trained a pokemon ( or think i did) all these new teams would come out and my pokemon was useless, so i gave up on it. Now recently i was on holiday in turkey when i spoted a fake 300 games in 1, on the cover was pokemon heart gold, i purchased the game and within minutes was hooked on the old story line, im in love with the game but i do not tihnk i will b able to acces wi-fi with it becasue of it being a fake and including 299 more games on the cartridge, But This Is were i need the help of poke community, if people could please pm or write in the thread sum good sites or some of there own tips on how to get me started online it would really help, i want to get back into pokemon again but i dont know were to start and what to do, if i get back into it again i will purchase the real HG/SS but untill then i will just EV train or trade on my Pokemon Pearl, I have also purchased Pokemon Platinum of ebay And Have Nearly COmpleted That As Well, PLease Help Me PokeCommunity

Competitive battling is all about strategy. It involves the essentials of EVs, IVs, Natures, Movesets, Abilities, Items, and building a team that works well together and not individually. It takes a lot of patience, work, and practice to get it right, and even by the end of the day it won't all be perfect. I can suggest to you a few places to help you get started. Other than that, you'll probably want to use the Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions for all questions on the above; at least until you've really gotten a full team for Wi-Fi.

I do recommend you read the stickies in the Pokémon Strategies and Movesets section however. This will help you understand many of the aspects in EVing and Competitive battling. Smogon's Strategy PokéDex is also a great place to develop strategies and build your team.

After this you should be well on your way to becoming a great experienced trainer in the online field. So, good luck bud. Oh, and a little word of advice: Periods are an important aspect in grammar too.
