    [PokeCommunity.com] My Shoddy Battle Team:

    Aerodactyl (♂) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Fire Fang
    - Ice Fang

Nice fast opener, kills most other openers in Shoddy Battle

    [PokeCommunity.com] My Shoddy Battle Team:

    Weavile (♂) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/218 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Pursuit
    - Ice Punch
    - Night Slash
    - Brick Break

I love puttin in this guy whenever there's a Psychic or Ghost type, draws the switch, and uses Pursuit, and with Life Orb does a heck of alot of damage

    [PokeCommunity.com] My Shoddy Battle Team:

    Steelix (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP/120 Atk/138 SDef
    Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Explosion
    - Stealth Rock
    - Toxic

Soaks up physical attakcs, and sets up stealth rock

    [PokeCommunity.com] My Shoddy Battle Team:

    Gengar (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
    Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Focus Blast
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Shadow Ball
    - Thunderbolt

Good Special sweeper, thinking of replacing him though, any ideas?

    [PokeCommunity.com] My Shoddy Battle Team:

    Dusknoir (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP/76 Def/180 SDef
    Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Pain Split
    - Thunderpunch
    - Shadow Sneak
    - Will-o-wisp

Perfect for coming face-to-face with a physical sweeper, lays down a will-o-wisp, and uses Pain Split if health gets to low

    [PokeCommunity.com] My Shoddy Battle Team:

    Tangrowth (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    EVs: 252 HP/228 Def/30 Spd
    Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Power Whip
    - Sleep Powder
    - Stun Spore
    - leech sead

Another wall, it's got a decent attack stats, so that's why power whip is there, leech seed is also there for regainsing health

So what do you guys think of this team?
It's my first real competitive team, so i'd like to see what i've done wrong

    Aerodactyl (♂) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Fire Fang
    - Ice Fang

Jolly Nature please. Sorted your evs out aswell. Run 216 speed evs, 252 is overkill and you get a speed tie with jolteon, and you already outrun everything which you should beneath it, so put 40 hp evs to increase its survivability.

    Weavile (♂) @ Choice Band
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/218 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Pursuit
    - Ice Shard
    - Night Slash
    - Brick Break

Choice Band and Ice Shard on this, it hits harder and Ice Shard beats Scarf Chomp and dragon dancers, trust me, youll need it.

    Steelix (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP/120 Atk/138 SDef
    Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Explosion
    - Stealth Rock
    - Toxic

    I guess...

    Gengar (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
    Timid nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Focus Blast
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Shadow Ball
    - Thunderbolt

    Timid Nature, plesh.

    Dusknoir (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP/76 Def/180 SAtk
    Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Pain Split
    - Thunderpunch
    - Shadow Sneak
    - Will-o-wisp

    good.

    Tangrowth (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    EVs: 252 HP/228 Def/30 Spd
    impish nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Power Whip
    - Sleep Powder
    - Stun Spore / Knock Off
    - Leech Seed

Ewwwww, Energy Ball sucks, give it Power Whip, it does more.

Needs a means of recovery aswell, so Leech Seed >> Shockwave, whats that for anyway, power Whip already breaks Gyarados as it is.

    Changes are in bold.

heatran kinda beats you up badly once Aero is gone, as do most special sweepers, i suggest putting in a special wall.

    Weavile (♂) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/218 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Pursuit
    - Ice Punch
    - Night Slash
    - Brick Break

Just something to think about with this guy: Night Slash is kind of repetitive with Pursuit, don't you think? Unless your opponent is predicting that you're Pursuiting and hoping they can live through it, no Psychic or Ghost is staying in on you anyway, so Night Slash doesn't do a whole lot. Personally, my Weavile runs Aerial Ace, for 2 reasons: Breloom and Heracross. Most people won't expect it, and I've gotten rid of many Brelooms (which I HATE) with it.

Pursuit OHKOs Gengar, Alakazam and Azelf weather they switch or not, the latter must run 32 hp evs or more and not switch to survive a pursuit, its also great for stuff you know wont like taking a Night slash and will switch, for example Starmie, etc.

Night Slash is for sturdy pokemon, cresselia, Dusknoir, Uxie, Celebi, ETC. Tell me whats Pursuit going to do to those if they dont switch out, nothing, squat.

Aerial Ace is sucky aswell, what pokemon are you gonna need it for, heracross and Breloom ? Breloom gets wasted by Ice SHard and you have no buisiness staying in on Hera due to the possibility of it being scarfed, heck its that sucky it doesnt even guarantee a ohko on Infernape.

    Aerodactyl (♂) @ Expert Belt
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Thunder Fang
    - Ice Fang

Nice fast opener, kills most other openers in Shoddy Battle
I have just built an aerodactly running almost the same set. T-Fang works just as well, and expert belt cuz this set hits almost every lead for SE damage

    Weavile (♂) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/218 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Pursuit/Swords Dance
    - Ice Punch
    - Night Slash
    - Brick Break

I love puttin in this guy whenever there's a Psychic or Ghost type, draws the switch, and uses Pursuit, and with Life Orb does a heck of alot of damage
Swords dance can set it up for a whole-team sweep, but its personal preference.

    Steelix (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP/120 Atk/138 SDef
    Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Explosion
    - Stealth Rock
    - Toxic

Soaks up physical attakcs, and sets up stealth rock
    Fine

    Gengar (♂) @ Wide Lense
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
    Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Focus Blast
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Hypnosis
    - Thunderbolt

Good Special sweeper, thinking of replacing him though, any ideas?
That works better IMO. If you wanna replace him, try specsmence

    Dusknoir (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP/76 Def/100 SAtk/80SpDef
    Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Pain Split
    - Thunderpunch
    - Shadow Sneak
    - Will-o-wisp

Perfect for coming face-to-face with a physical sweeper, lays down a will-o-wisp, and uses Pain Split if health gets to low
Needs some SpDef so it can survive better. Then you can pain split the damage away :)

    Tangrowth (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    EVs: 252 HP/228 Def/30 Spd
    Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Energy Ball
    - Sleep Powder
    - Stun Spore
    - Shock Wave

Another wall, it's got a nice base Sp. Atk stats, so i put Energy ball in there, use sleep power 1 turn, and if they switch(which they normally would)i'll use Stun Spore.
Ive never used it, so ill smile and nod hoping it's ok :)

So what do you guys think of this team?
It's my first real competitive team, so i'd like to see what i've done wrong

Looks good for a first team. It's a bit too physically orientated though, so I'd try specsmence because it hits harder. I cant remember the standard though, so guess :P

But yeah, nice solid team :)
If only my shoddy worked lol

Why are there sp.atk EVs on Dusknoir? I think you mean, attack, sp, def, something...I know not sp.atk.

Gah, shoddy battle muffed up the EVS, i'll chnge them now

    Aerodactyl (♂) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd
    Jolly nature(+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Fire Fang

i was thinking of jolly nature, but i prefer adamant, hits harder, and since he already outruns most below him, the only pokemon left are Jolteon, and if a Jolteon came in anyway, i would switch. And also, what an extra 11 HP stats going to get me? Nothing, i prefer going out with the 252 in them.

    Weavile (♂) @ Choice Band
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/218 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Pursuit
    - Ice Shard
    - Night Slash
    - Brick Break

No, i don't like Ice shard, i've never had to use it, and that's with 10-20 shoddy battle teams, and i was thinking of choice band, just for using pursuit, so i'll run that

    Steelix (♂) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP/120 Atk/138 SDef
    Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Earthquake
    - Explosion

well, i was looking at power whip, but smogon said to put on enerygy ball, so i guess that Power Whip will work, and ok, shock wave was there for Gyarados, but Power Whip does enough damage.

1 quick thing, as I don't have time for a full rate, I would like to see either Gengar or Duskoir out. 2 Ghosts in your team, when you can find a pokemon that does it better is redundent me thinks. Keep Noir there to soak up rapid Spin from your SR, and replace Gengar with Specs-Z or SpecsMence.

yeah, well i was looking to replace Gengar, i was thinking of a special sweeper, that's water typer, just to remove the Heatran problem, how's this:

    Miltotic @ Leftovers
    Bold Nature
    148 HP / 240 Def / 120 SpA
    ~ Surf
    ~ Ice Beam
    ~ Recover
    ~ Hypnosis

Nicely deals away with any Heatran, and owns any Garchomp

Steelix, Dusknoir, and Tangrowth will wall about everything physical besides physical Infernape but none of them have reliable recovery.

Aerodactyl will actually lose to most leads. Weavile says sup to it with Choice Band Ice Shard and Hippowdon walls the daylights out of it.

Needs a special wall or you're toast, seriously.

yeah, well, i don't like blissy(at all)so i'm looking at a special wall, any ideas?

Snorlax or Articuno will lead you to victory. Lack of a rapid spinner narrows that down to Snorlax. ResttalkLax go go go! Curselax is terrible, use it if you want to lose only.

good team wnd replacing gengar with milotic is ok but i recommend getting rid of ice beam and replace it with water pulse becuase u need a nice water move attack and this have about 50% of confusing the poke so thats helpful also
