Right now I hate the layout (the banner doesn't go with the backround nor does the font with backround).

However I am sure that if continue to work on it, you can make it really good.

Its a OK site but seriously...the color scheme and the banner really dont mix...its kind of a eyesore..

Yup, get a new layout but also, you could just edit that layout maybe give it some style like the font, give the navigation a background also.
