Be god **** realistic, FFS, what's with this crap? You're rating on a scale from 0 - 10, STAY ON IT.pkmn-master said:Big sprite:100/10 AWESOME!!!!!!!!! ***** 5-star
Those are sprites, NOT pixel art.Shadow Scizor said:Ooo, thug pikachu... lol. And those pixel arts are some of the best I've ever seen. I think you should enter this month's contest, you'd win for sure.
i am using a limited colour pallette, so i can't go any darker.Avatar said:I think you should use a darker shade at the edge of the hair on the overworld sprite.

well, she's a woman, i figured she had breasts..? i'm not sure what's wrong with them. maybe they are a pixel too low, or something.Avatar said:The shading on the big sprite looks kinda awkward on her shirt, it looks as if you disregarded her anatomy.

to be absolutely correct, the smaller pixels are sprites [to be used in gameboy games] whereas the large pixels are pixel art. sprites tend to have a smaller colour pallette and tend to, also, be smaller. i have posted some pixel art on this thread, but lower down than the top pixels.Avatar said:Those are sprites, NOT pixel art.
How limited is your palette?Hollietree said:i am using a limited colour pallette, so i can't go any darker.
That, and her chest also looks flat.Hollietree said:well, she's a woman, i figured she had breasts..? i'm not sure what's wrong with them. maybe they are a pixel too low, or something.
The difference of a sprite and pixel art is not determined by the size.Hollietree said:to be absolutely correct, the smaller pixels are sprites [to be used in gameboy games] whereas the large pixels are pixel art. sprites tend to have a smaller colour pallette and tend to, also, be smaller. i have posted some pixel art on this thread, but lower down than the top pixels.
the pallette is limited down to the amount of colours i have put in that piece, no more can be added.Avatar said:How limited is your palette?
i'll try and fix it, but i am busy with a bigger piece right now.Avatar said:That, and her chest also looks flat.
but for the most part, sprites are small and pixel arts are bigger with more colours.Avatar said:The difference of a sprite and pixel art is not determined by the size.
