Ok, I am not very good at this game at all. I am not good at all the Nature's stuff, and I am not good at movesets or the EVs and stuff. I am very dumb when it comes to that stuff. I would like some help, but remember, put it in language I can understand. LOL

I have a small team, from Fire Red, so suggest some other Pokemon that are good to use.

Alakazam Lv. 64 @ Quick Claw( I dunno what to attach)
    Hasty Nature

    Psychic
    Shock Wave
    Calm Mind
    Double Team

    Blastoise Lv. 63
    Naughty Nature

    Skull Bash
    Surf
    Substitute
    Ice Beam

    Gengar Lv. 61
    Brave Nature

    Hypnosis
    Dream Eater
    Shadow Punch
    Shadow Ball

Alakazam Lv. 64 @ Lum Berry
    Hasty Nature
    Psychic
    Fire Punch
    Calm Mind
    Recover/Substitute

Alakazam really needs an Elemental Punch, especially Fire Punch for Steel-types, but that's only available in Emerald. Recover can work in the last slot, and so can another Substitute if you can get it.

    Blastoise Lv. 63
    Naughty Nature
    Surf
    Rest
    Ice Beam
    Toxic

You wasted a perfectly good Substitute. =( Substitute is great on Alakazam or Gengar, but not on Blastoise since does not have any combo to go along with Sub. Anyways, use Rest since Blastoise is very defensive, and Toxic will help against other Water types.

    Gengar Lv. 61
    Brave Nature
    Focus Punch
    Substitute/Hypnosis
    Thunderbolt
    Shadow Ball/Ice Punch/Giga Drain

The Hypnosis + Dream Eater is a bad combo because Hypnosis is inaccurate and Dream Eater only works while the opponent sleeps. That means you need to take at least two turns setting up. During those two turns, you can be using much stronger attacks like Thunderbolt and deal more damage in the long run.
Brave Nature is too bad, since Gengar really needs its Speed and Brave decreases Speed. On the other hand, it increases Attack which means this Gengar is perfect for Focus Punch. Too bad you wasted your Substitute tutor. Maybe you can get another one from Emerald? Otherwise, Hypnosis can work in its place. Shadow Ball is fine for a physical Gengar. Ideally, you'll want Ice Punch from Emerald. Giga Drain works fine as well.
For the rest of your team, you will want a special wall to defend against special attacks (Snorlax is your best choice, Blissey is good too). And a physical wall to defend against physical attacks (Weezing, Forretress, Donphan are all great choices). And then you'll want a strong and faster physical attacker. You have lots of good choices, including Dodrio, Aerodactyl, Dragonite, Heracross and Tyranitar.

um here i think this would be ok team.
    Pigeot
    Primape
    Your Gengar
    Your Blastoise
    Your Alakazam
    Arcanine
    yeah...................

    ~*^*~~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~ ~*^*~~*^*~

That would involve breeding, and not everyone is into that. Especially when they've trained a Pokemon for that long.

Its not worth it in-game to breed and train your Pokemon from Level 5 again for one move. That can be very frustrating. :\

i agree w/ rubberbandman. its well worth it the trouble and while hes at it he can get a gangar with a good nature. and what the hell a better blastoise, too.

but you abviously have other games at your disposal or you wouldnt have an alakazam, i hope its emerald.

Wow, thank's a whole lot aragornbird, you really, really helped. Yea, I didn't really know who to give Substitute too. I am not good with those things. And I know my Gengar has a bad nature, but I am not retraining a Gengar just to get a good nature! No way.

hey a pokemon to look into would be a Exeggutor, or a Vileplume, BOTH have a very good set of stats, they are all very high.

Vileplume (leaf stone on gloom, gloom evolves from Oddish at level 21)
    Nature: whatever you like
    Petal Dance (level 44)
    Sludge Bomb (TM 36)
    Cut (HM01)
And whatever 4th move you want to give it, just remember, vileplume above anything is mor of a Special/Physical Wall and a Special Sweeper.

    or Exeggutor

    Exeggutor (leaf stone on Exeggute)
    Nature: Any
    Psychic
    Shadowball
    Stomp
    Solar Beam

the one thing if any you might want to do with an Exeggutor is make it a Physical/Special Sweeper, it has almost maxed stats in Physical attack, Special attack, and Physical Defense.

oh, and another one would be the legendary bird Zapdos you catpure him at the Power Plant, at level 50, DON'T KILL HIM, SAVE BEFORE YOU BATTLE HIM, grab a **** load of Ultra Balls and a pokemon with sleep powder or hypnosis, cut its health down a bit put it to sleep, and throw a ball. buy the TM 24 (Thunderbolt) and teach it to Zapdos. and vwola, you got you Electric/Flying pokemon.

Soldier, stop suggesting bad sets for Pokemon.

Bad moves. Cut sucks, Petal Dance sucks because you can't switch out and you'll get confused, and when suggesting movesets, give suggestions for all four slots.
Anyways, here's a much better Vileplume set:

    Vileplume @Leftovers/Lum Berry
    Nature: Modest
    Solarbeam
    Sleep Powder
    Sunny Day
    Moonlight

Vileplume has the trait Chlorophyll, which doubles it's speed in the sun, giving it around 400 speed. And when it's sunny, you can fire off Solarbeams in one turn and heal yourself completely with Moonlight.

    OR

    Vileplume @Leftovers
    Nature: Careful
    Leech Seed
    Aromatherapy
    Sleep Powder
    Sludge Bomb

This is a much more defensive Vileplume whose job is to heal the team and stay alive with Leech Seed. Sludge Bomb is for enemy Grass types immune to Leech Seed.

    or Exeggutor

    Exeggutor (leaf stone on Exeggute)
    Nature: Any
    Psychic
    Shadowball
    Stomp
    Solar Beam

the one thing if any you might want to do with an Exeggutor is make it a Physical/Special Sweeper, it has almost maxed stats in Physical attack, Special attack, and Physical Defense.

You can't max out more than two stats. There aren't enough EVs for that (and I bet you don't even know what EVs are, eh?) Anyways, Exeggutor is a terrible physical sweeper because it does not get STAB from any physical attacks.

    Exeggutor @Leftovers/Lum Berry
    Solarbeam
    Psychic
    Sunny Day
    Sleep Powder/Explosion

Exeggutor also has Chlorophyll so this is it's best set. If you encounter a Pokemon you can't handle, either put it to sleep or explode on it.

oh, and another one would be the legendary bird Zapdos you catpure him at the Power Plant, at level 50, DON'T KILL HIM, SAVE BEFORE YOU BATTLE HIM, grab a **** load of Ultra Balls and a pokemon with sleep powder or hypnosis, cut its health down a bit put it to sleep, and throw a ball. buy the TM 24 (Thunderbolt) and teach it to Zapdos. and vwola, you got you Electric/Flying pokemon.

I'm sure everyone knows this, so it's not much help.

I hope you learn from this and actually take the time to research good movesets before posting them. Check out Smogon for a great resource.

    lololololol!!!!!!

im never going to forget you, soldier. first you deny skarm and now your posting the worst crap ive ever seen. go download NB and see how far those move sets get you.

l0Rd: dont listen to soldier, listen to aragornbird.

Yea, I kinda figured that. I am sorry, but even I know those movesets are pretty crappy. LOL

Thanks again aragornbird, I might look into getting a Vileplume with that moveset onto my team.
