The Sludge bomb may do a little less dam than Toxic,But it has a better chance of hitting.
And Frustration,for the pokemon you may face that just do not take enough dam from Toxic or Sludge Bomb.

Deoxys-L isn't gonna do much damage with Frustration or Sludge Bomb, since he has a low Attack and most ubers have godly defences. If you want to do direct damage, stick with something like Seismic Toss or Night Shade (100 fixed damage is nothing to sneeze at, even against ubers), or just Toxistall with Recover. Spikes does work wonders as well, especially if you are using Knock Off to remove their Lefties

You can use SB on Groudon in-game with some success, but against a human you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. You take advantage of Drought by building your team around it. For example, Venusaur with Solar Beam or a Fire-type with pumped up Fire attacks.

It's physical attacks will do much more to help it than any special attacks it can learn. Plus Groudon can already OHKO Kyorge with an CB EQ and if SD'd gives you +2 then it can obviousy OKHO it too.

ANy ways... IMO putting a solarbeamer in after a groudon weather change isnt a good idea because.. If the opponents poke has a fire attack then u are royally screwed... And if the opponent has a kyogre and the opponent predicts this combo, he can bring out kyorgre after groudon is brought out the change the weather... Then your stuck with a slow grass type that has to charge 2 turns to kill kyogre and will die with one ice beam. Groudon is meant for killing not for setting up, just look at his attack stat!
