You talk to them a second time when you make them join you for the mission and it has "Make Leader" below "Stand By"
 
The same way....XD, pretty much anyway.....you know why didn't I do that...I wouldn't have lost him following me XD...

talk to the pokemon and let it go into a dungeon with you by choosing the frist option,then talk to it again and it should say "make leader" below the frist choise.

where are you up to on mystery dungeon?

uhh, i will once i get out.... how many lvls does magma cavern have?
 
24-26 for the main floor then 3 for the path to Groudon...and damn I just saved that other person and I died once because of my damn Charmeleon Partner >.>, so I lost my HMs and a few other things... Luckily I have over 90 doubles of all HMs XD...

how TOUGH is groundon... all i have is lvl 26 charmander and pikachu

EDIT: might i add, NO ORAN BERRYs

Nope, you need Boulder Cave...and its not possible to get that place...and I dunno how to XD....
