did any one know that you can get mystery gift for fr and lg?
the way you do it is when you go to a pkmn mart there is a paper my the owner. it will ask you to put in a four letter phrase. put in "link together with all" and when you save and tern your gamme back on you will have mystery gift!

Does Mystery Gift still work the same as R/S (ie us Europeans who don't have the e-reader can't use it), or does it work differently (like the old G/S/C Mystery Gift using the Wireless Conector)?

Mystery Gift on F/L.. isn't exactly what I'd call a "gift"..

From what I know so far, the only thing it's good for is connecting to hotspots with the Wireless Adapter for downloading special things, such as the Aurora Ticket, Mystic Ticket, Pok?mon Eggs, etc.

That's what the Wonder Cards is for. With that, you can go through Wireless Communication to recieve the items, or you can go through Friend and connect with another person and send that item to them. It's not exactly sure what Wonder News is for, but speculation currently involves such things as changing what Pok?mon is available in Altering Cave, Berries, Trainers, or something along those lines.

In any case, as far as anyone knows to date, the FireRed and LeafGreen mystery gift is just for Nintendo Wonder Spots that hopefully will make appearances around the US and other places. It's almost disappointing that they couldn't have at least put an option in it for the original Gold/Silver Mystery Gift, though there really isn't a point for it, with the removal of the Decorations in the new games.

You don't enter the phrase in the Pok?mon Center in FireRed/LeafGreen. Instead, you do it in the Pok?mon Mart. There's no specific one, as far as I know any Mart after Viridian works. Go to the short side of the counter, where there's a piece of paper, and fill out the questionnaire. Put "Link Together With All" (as already stated) and the clerk will activate Mystery Gift for you. There's no reason for it right now, though, but if you wanna activate it anyway, go ahead.

You can do many things with Mystery Gift:

Get the Mystic/Aurora tickets from HotSpots
Change the Pokemon in Altering Cave on Island 6
Put in further passwords to make trainers appear in the house on Seven Island

It works the same way as RuSa... which means me and Toothy won't be able to use it properly :(

Thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU! All those people said pokecenters and that always baffled me...but now, NOW I too am the elite and get Mystery Gifts. ^_^
-Feels oh so special- Also btw, I didn't know this so maybe it will help some beginner [Like me] If you push A on the _ _ _ _ _ it will bring you to a "A B C D" etc.. list, just click on that and you are able to find the word.

Nintendo Wonder Spots.. shoot, we need those in the major cities eh ? Nintendo is bringing some concert to SF real soon, I wonder if one will be there ?? Besides, it'll be fun. ^.^

Nintendo hasn't even released the Deoxys and Mew Wonder Spots in Japan yet. So.. if the San Fransisco concert is coming up soon... then there's little to no chance of it happening. :/

I don't really care if they release Mew and Deoxys....I want Lugia...but according to the strategy guide you can not get Lugia in United States versions, oh poo. They need to make a giant bus, and travel cross country, giving the joys of tickets to everyone! Not just those who live and suffer in New York or who can afford to go to it.

I'm willing to bet NoA will take World's Edge Island out of Emerald when it gets to the US and shove it into a Ticket. Or is it already shoved into a ticket in Japan?

How exactly do wonder spots work anyway? Does Nintendo just go to a random location with 20 people and put up signs saying: COME GET YOUR DEOXYS!!!"??

World's Edge Island is a programmed area in the game and is accessible by tickets, just like Southern Island.
    Hm...haven't heard of that place...
