[ASM & Hex] Naming Player from OW [FR]

I tried callasming 0x809FC91 to name the player from the OW, but every time I did, the menu would open and ruin the script after the naming. Has anyone used this routine before and has experience with how to use it properly?

I don't know how to fix that specific side-effect, but Touched's naming function thread has a routine in the first post that should be what you're looking for.
