  • Despite the wrong name, this is a thread talking about the comparison of Naruto to most actual Japanese culture.
    Orochi- a five-headed snake monster They were a little off on that.
    Kyubi- a nine-tailed fox
    Gaara's possession is by a spirit similar to a Racoon...called a Tanutubi, I believe (has to go check on that last one)
    I have yet to figure out anything about the Giant Frog.
    Ideas?

  • Shukaku was a racoon.
    InoShikaCho is a combination in a card game
    The sannin are based on a book called The gallant tales of Jirayia where Tsunade is married to Jirayia and Orochimaru is evil I think
    The Snake monster is 8 tailed or something
    From Wikipedia:
    Hachibi ("Eight Tails")

    Name: Hachibi (八尾, "Eight Tails")

    Creature type: Unknown, possibly a(n):
    Hachimata (eight-tailed dragon).
    Orochi (eight-tailed / eight-headed snake).

    Jinchūriki: Unknown

    Status: Unknown
