NDS hacking help? Anyone?

So i'm kinda interested in ROM hacking, and since EVERYONE goes FireRed, I wanna do something different and try to hack Pearl. I can't find any tutorials out there, so... any help?

Although I'm lookin' for ideas, too.... My dumb brain can't process enough :) .
I'll need help with mapping, as I'm also planning to make a complete game.
