Need a new Design?

well.. no offence.. but for their higher quality layouts they charge like 4times the price... and anyone can offer free templates.. who wants a site that could potentially look like everyone elses? without being able to make changes to it? Not only that, the site requires you to register, so they can track you like nuts... much like this one, however minus the technology to do it. I'm just offering a service that I offer regulary at a fractioned price for anime layouts, at a price that doesn't cost more than a simple dinner and a movie. So as I appreciate comments, and if people want layouts that aren't expensive and will look different than a template (which often doesnt' come with any changes.) then they will come to me, as some have. But yes, I understand how many people wouldn't want to, because yes, many people settle for layouts that look exactly like everyone elses anyways (just look at the pokemon/anime websites out there, 98% look the exact same.)

Most anime/Pokemon webmasters today are in their teen years and more often than not don't have the money, the ability, or both factors necessary to buy things like layouts from someone else on the internet. Most people will end up making their own, or going for the free designs that everyone else uses. ^_^;;

o.o I don't even think I have $40 at the moment.
 
I don't have 40 dollars to get a layout. All of it is spend on Computer Products, DVDs, and games.
 
my mistake.. I've been around since at least '98... and I've had a job since i was 14.... and most of the people where I live have had jobs since they were at least 15. That's not including the money from odd jobs such as babysitting and stuff. $40 doesn't come across as a lot of money for me. I mean I'm only a manager at a fast food restuarant at like $1 more than min wage.. and I go to school, so i don't work that often. But whatever, I'm just promoting a site that I have, and there are people who do have the money, and as a past pokewebby, I know that good layouts bring hits, and bad ones turn people away, at least they turn me away.
 
But, Students should focus in school instead of working at a job after school. Anyway, I already have the tools to make a layout already: Photoshop and Dreamweaver, so basicly, I can just make a Professional Layout on my own... without buying a layout.
 
It takes years of experience with both the graphic creating software and the coding part to make a professional layout. And... jobs are good ways to get life experiences and stuff... not to mention spending money. o_o;

Your layouts are very good, don't get us wrong on that. You certainly have a lot of talent... it's just that many people at PC are under the age of 15 and unable to afford or pay for a layout. ^_^; That's the major thing here, I'm afraid.

I agree.
Even as I'm turning 15 at the end of the year I don't think I have the means to pay for a website layout over the internet. I can only make my own. The uniqueness counts; my website is all on a Pokemon manga and fan pictures that can be used for layouts(without being stolen) are not many; and I'm still working on my own.

anyways...i make layouts for less than $10 =-= and i still don't get that much business, sometimes i make them for free. :\ it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. but hey, good luck on your designing site. $37 might be a lot to ask though =D
 
I hope no one would spend $40 on one of those designs, but maybe its different for ppl who cant design.

If you want a design site, make it for anything, you will get more customers then just an anime based design site.

I do :-p I have a design site for everything, and then I have that one. :) anyways, i don't expect many pokepeople to want them, I just thought i'd get the site out there... might as well right? I've been making a few for other things in advance, like i used to.. like domains and stuff. $40 is a guideline and i'm seeing how it plays out. When i get more time I'll probably put them down. I just see it as a small price, because I get a lot more for other sites I do.. like real businesses. There are ppl out there, and I'm just getting the name around and stuff. Ya know? Can't blame a person for trying...

Some people like to make their own layouts.. I mean, I couldn't always make good layouts... I've been practicing, alot for a long time.. But I know some people out there who do want them fast, and can afford them... can you blame me instead of flame me? Out of all the people here, i don't expect much. I just expect to know my site is there, and maybe if someone knows someone just to mention me.

yes o_O; you've been making greet layouts for a LONG TIME, years and years. those cute little pichu layouts and other anime layouts. after thinking about it more, those layouts do take a lot of time and effort and staring in front of da computer screen. so i guess the price range is okay. =P some people aren't as good and charge $100's.

i can still remember all of 'em (well not ALL of them ^_^; my memory isn't that good). :P and, yea, i still have da same SN cause i'm too lazy to change.
 
Maybe you should cut the price in half at least until you start getting some business because the most I would pay for a layout (if I had money) is like 10 bucks. The average webmaster doesn't have that much money or isn't willing to spend that much, so rethink your business plan and make it affordable for your target addience, which is teens.
 
I dont mean to be rude CP, but all of DDG's layouts are free. And Membership is no big deal, they cant track what site there layouts are on @_@

I don't mean to be rude.. but some people just like other styles..
And as for the fact that people won't pay for it, that's not true. Zapy's right.. people pay hundreds for layouts.. and there are still anime ppl who will pay for them.. just this is a pokemon community, the average person is like 12.. of course you don't have money, but some of you do. personally, the people i see rejecting this are the people who can't afford it, therefore i'm not intrested in you anyways. so what is the average hits per day of your guy's sites? 50?... how many of you guys have "donate to us" things on your site? that's just trying to make a quick buck... you see people saying "donate to us so we can keep the server" but yea, it's the same for me, at least i'm earning the money, so i can have a better service to people and maybe be able to afford a server of my own, or I'm buying a laptop next month so i can take my designs to companies. Alakazam: I have business, and it's MUCH much more money... because that's what websites cost. I thought I was being nice by offering this service to individuals who have the extra buck, so they can have a good layout. I'm not being concieded by saying my layouts are awesome, but I do have experience, and I have had high-hit sites because I have had unique layouts. "make it affordable for your target addience, which is teens." teens have money, what you are talking about who doesn't have money, is "kids" not teens.
 
Kids don't know how to make a website (unless they are a genius at the computer)... I ment, teenagers is the age when they start to make a website. They currently can't afford any money (including me, arcanine, etc.) to run a website...

Well, to keep a budget, all things I make are made by myself... I am still experimenting still, but it will take time.
