2nd Gen Need a stratagy for catching Entei in Crystal Version

Like the topic says, if anyone has any tips they would be appreciated. Also, would it help if I bring in my Gengar from Gold version and give it Hypnosis and Nightmare?

Yes it might. I have not really captured an entei but i have some ideias.
1.Make shure one of your pokemon know mean look
2.Have lots of fast balls and mayby some heavy ones too.
3.If you bring it to sleep using hypnosis it will be easyer to get
