    Hello everyone

First off, I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong board of this forum, I've never been here before and don't know where I should post this. Apologies in advance.

I would like a bit of help with this problem I have: I hatched a male larvesta from the egg I got from the treasure hunter, and I caught a female volcarona in the relic castle. The problem is, they don't seem to breed since the day care man says they don't seem to get along. When I caught a ditto in the giant chasm and tried breeding the larvesta and the ditto together, it didn't work either. It didn't work with the volcarona and ditto as well. The larvesta also didn't breed with a pokemon from the bug egg group (durant)

What am I doing wrong here? Is there any way I can hatch a larvesta? If you're curious, I'm trying to hatch one with a modest nature.

    Thank you

You're doing the process right; it's just that 2 Pokemon with the same trainer ID and different species (in other words, if both Pokemon were caught in the same game file), then they have a lower chance of producing an egg. If both parents are from different game files, then you have a higher chance of getting an egg, provided that both are different genders and belong to the same egg group(s).

check every 256 steps that you take, since you get that message that means you have an almost 20% of recieving a Pokemon egg
