Okay. Wattson REALLY pisses me off. I just can't beat him. I can get through Voltorb because it uses Selfdestruct. Then I can mow down Electrike with my Grovyle by using Quick Attacks alone. But then comes Magneton. If I manage to get it with my Kadabra, Wattson's Manetric finishes me off good.

    Here's my team:

    Wingull Lv 20
    CAREFUL
    Grown
    Water Gun
    Supersonic
    Wing Attack

    Lombre Lv 21
    SERIOUS
    Rock Smash
    Fake Out
    Absorb
    Nature Power

    Grovyle Lv 22
    RASH
    Pound
    Cut
    Absorb
    Quick Attack

    Golbat Lv 23
    RASH
    Supersonic
    Astonish
    Bite
    Wing Attack

    Kadabra Lv 25
    IMPISH
    Flash (**** you, Flash!)
    Reflect
    Disable
    Psybeam

Grovyle's moveset sucks, and I need to get Lombre's speed up badly so Fake Out will work better. Usually after I use it and the enemy flinches, they're still faster then me and attack again. Where can I get some good EV training up to where I am in the game now? Should I breed for better movesets and genes? Help!

Wattson can be a pain since unless you started with Mudkip, you don't have any Ground attacks by the time you get to him so he's not that easy. Remember Magneton is also weak to Fire and Fighting as well as Ground, so you can always go back and get something with either of those moves (Makuhita).

Train your Grovyle until it gets leaf blade so it can take on all but magneton. Then go get yourself a geodude or something... Ill rate your team as it is pretty bad so far

    Thunderpunch
    Brick Break/Focus Punch
    Filler/Substitute

    As said

    Golbat Lv 23
    RASH
    Sludge Bomb
    wing Attack
    Steel wing
    Shadow Ball

ok, but with a choice band

    Kadabra Lv 25
    IMPISH
    Calm mind
    Psychic
    Fire Punch
    Recover

finito. But yeah for wallace you only need one ground type like geodude and you win...

This is exactly why Swampert owns all of the starters. I can only assume you chose Treecko to make the game more challenging. As it was stated before, if you choose Treecko, you MUST get a Makuhita and a Geodude. Makuhita are easier to get and can be more effective sooner, but once you get the HM Rock Smash in Mauville, you can ride up Route 111 to the rocks there and smash them until a Geodude shows up. They are between Lv5-Lv20, so if you get a young one it will take a little time to train it to get it to learn a Ground move (Magnitude - Lv16).

Alright, that helped a lot. I never realized how badly Wingull is until I went up against Wattson. So I'm going to train the rest of my team and go find a Geodude.

Well, Wingull is 4x weakness to Wattson so you'd think that it wouldn't last long.

Next time I recommend Mudkip if you know what's good for you. Though if you like the game to be more challenging, that's fine too.

Using ANY flying Poke against Wattson isn't a good idea. Good luck with Geodude.
