Hi. Right now I'm having trouble fighting the electric type pokemon such as voltorb and magnemite. I was wondering would bellspout would be a good grass type to use against these pokemon. Right now I have Noctowl and crownaw in my party. My bellsprout is at level 3. lol. It learns vine whip and cut. heheh. Does anyone know where to train bellsprout right now? I in goldenrod city and going for my 3rd badge.

Darn in the soul silver you can't clean your badge like in diamond, platinum and pearl. I hated these new version. The starter pokemon sucks in here.

Edit 11:00 A.M: Also does anyone know where to catch any other grass type except for bellsprout? Thanks

Bellsprout and other Grass-types can get easy early experience by abusing the double weakness Geodude and Onix have to Grass. If you're having trouble with Electric-types, though, you may do well to get a Geodude or Onix yourself, or just a good Fire-type like Vulpix to handle Magnemite.

Other grass types you can catch...Oddish can be caught in Ilex Forest at night. Hoppip can be found east of Azalea Town. Exeggcute can be found in Headbutt Trees in New Bark Town, Cherrygrove City, and Violet City.

Oddish in Ilex forest at night or Jumpluff first form around the same place as Bellspout. I recommend ground type to deal with electric type like Geodude or Ryhorn.
