My team and I are working on a Rom Hack of Pokemon Emerald that replaces all of the regular Pokemon with fusions. We're trying to attempt to make a Spinda fusion, but every time we insert the sprite, the spots distort part of the image in-game. Is there anything we have to do to the sprite in order for it to work like regular Spinda. How I inserted the sprite into our Rom was through PGE, using the export Sprite Sheet, I mimicked how Spinda's sheet was, without a second frame and I lined up the first frame as close to the original Spinda as I could and the imported it back into the Rom like the rest of the fusions.

I'm not asking for an explanation of the personality values, but how to get the spots that are generated to work on the sprite without distortion.

    Thank you for your time.

You may have added an extra pallete that was not in the original Spinda. Try cloning every pallete from the original.

I thought I did, but the shiny is technically different, I'll try that and see what happens. Thank you.

Nope, that didn't do it. It even with the exact same colors, the outline is still messed up and it's ignoring the lighter color and darker colors of the face.

I think the spots are their own distinct entity and they are mapped with some coordinates, depending on Spinda's sprite..

Maybe try using something like NSE and editing Spinda directly with that and see what happens

PS: Would you consider Spindimik, or Mimikinda for the name, the N and M together is a little clunky tbh.
