DS Lite. A new slimmer and sleeker design. It's brighter and more vivid. Isn't the regular DS no longer in production anyways?

Well, the normal DS is stronger and has less problems than the Lite, but the lite is easier to carry, and you can choose the light level (and, if you take care of it, it shouldn't have problems). So I would pick a lite.

another advantage of the normal DS is that GBA games don't stick out of the system.
and, as far as I know, if you drop it there's less chance of it breaking

For all the positive things people are saying about the old DS, I still prefer my DS Lite. It's much nicer--it's easier to hold, play, carry, and use--and the screen is a lot brighter. It makes less noise when you use it (I hate the clicking noise of the old DS buttons), too.

It may be cheaper, but in the long run you're better off getting a new DS Lite, I think. You'll get warranty on it then, too. o.o;

I have a DSphat. I want a DSlite. But I don't need a DSlite because I already have a DS that with almost the exact same functionality. However, if I was DSless and was looking for one to purchase, it would definitely be the DSlite. Its just a superior product.

On both systems the buttons are two small for me. But, at least the DS has a long stylus. At the moment, I'm using an old Palm Pilot stylus on my DS. XD The lite is slimmer, nicer looking, brighter. All differences are cosmetic. Unless, for some reason, you feel the the old DS looks better then the lite is the way to go.

Go for the stand alone DSlites though, not the Brain Age 2 Bundle. There are reports of screen issues.

Um, no. That doesn't make any sense. If something is heavier, I guess you could say it may drop easier (and that's kinda pushing it), but how breakable something is depends on its engineering.

Both have their ups and downs, though the durability of the DSlite shouldn't be a problem if you take good care of it. So, go for the lite.

Meh, I got a white one, But DS stock in the UK especially in my AREA IS TERRIBLE, they're always out of stock, I got lucky the day i got it, I'd been trying for 2 weeks straight :|
nevermind, Black shows up the smudges like no tomorrow. I got a white one because it was the only colour there

I think it really should be you who makes the decision because you may end up not liking the colour. I would go for white because it looks nicer. But I have a sky blue one.
