    On Pokemon crystal I am trying to hunt a Wooper but none are appearing, do they not appear on land or during the day on Pokemon Crystal. Or am i just having bad luck?
     
    that doesn't make sense, Woopers have a common rarity and what route are you trying to catch them at?
     
    The one south of Violet City , where that guy tries to sell you the Slowpoke tail
     
    well Union Cave is near there and Wooper appear at night in the Union Cave, If I'm correct.
     
    then in that case your having bad luck, I've had a problem when I couldn't even find the most common of Pokemon before, don't worry you'll run into it eventually

    According to Serebii.net woopers are rare and appear only at night outside the Ruins Of Alph.
    However if you go to Route 32, Woopers are common but, again, they only appear at night. ;D
    Forgive me if I'm mistaken. >.<

    I found my problem, I was searching during the day and they only appear during the night.
